'We can be pleased with the work we have done in the off-season, and the test in Bahrain. Both drivers commented favourably on the W16 after the three days, and we seem to have made improvements.'
Gasly: 'Last year, we started the season in a tough place, but the way we turned things around was really impressive. I haven’t seen a transformation like that within a season before. Long term, we’re here to compete at the front. It will take time, but I truly believe we’re heading in the right direction.'
'The world of sim racing takes a significant step towards reality as Luiz Felipe Tavares, the winner of the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games F4 Esports category, is set to conduct an exclusive Formula 4 test. In March, Tavares will get behind the wheel of a real F4 car at Cremona Circuit in Italy, in a test provided by Maffi Racing.'
'The car’s so different to the old one, you can’t even compare it. Everything you can think of feels different. We were expecting the car to be a bit slower, but in the end, it’s actually faster than the old one, even though it’s heavier, which is a positive thing to see.'
Red Bull Advanced Technologies, which designs parts used by both Red Bull F1 teams, will appoint Jody Egginton as its engineering director next month.
He joins them from Racing Bulls (previously RB/AlphaTauri/Toro Rosso) where he spent 10 years and rose to the position of technical director.

35 years ago today Ayrton Senna won the United States Grand Prix at Phoenix after a superb duel with Jean Alesi, the latter in his ninth grand prix start for Tyrrell
+1 I also credit anyone who does (even they’re on both) because, whatever your politics, all these monopolies need at least 1 competitor to keep them decently honest/not treat creators like hostages. You can have a huge YT channel and if gets auto suspended due to a bot farm mass flagging u, it’ll take months + a miracle to get an actual human involved and redressed. They can only stuff like due to zero competition.
There are 100 ways for Mick to answer a question about his current job and his response was near the bottom of the list.
-I’m getting into it for the first time.
-I can’t wait to experience it and find out what it’s all about.
-It will be great to walk in my Dad’s racing footsteps in a new way.
I’d give him an opportunity to correct himself and fire him if he can’t figure out how to find an upside to his job (which 500 hungry drivers would take in a second). It’s a marketing exercise…all of this. The most negative answer is not the most true answer. It’s bewildering to hear drivers misunderstand their remit when it’s so simple. You can say things that are true and not sounds like a turd.
Also: this race is step 1 of any project that gets him back to F1.
A pretty dumb thing to say for Mick to be honest. Also a good way to insult a lot of important people and make yourself not sound like a true racer at heart.

Not too much need for gardening leave for Jody I suppose. On multiple counts.

No kidding, that was a weird way to respond. It comes across as sulking, which is unbecoming of someone in his position.
Still, I’m sure he’ll give it his all once he’s in the car.
