Not the best start to the season for Ferrari, behind the one driver team of Red Bull and already way off Mercedes and McLaren. Good for 2026 wind tunnel time though!

Haas double-scoring to 7 points was not on my predictions this weekend!
Didn’t think Alpine would be the last on zero points, based on testing results.

Stroll in 9th while Alonso is in 20th in the driver standings was not in my F1 2025 predictions.

Stroll has been doing a solid job, even in qualifying, this year.

So Ferrari with two drivers can’t outscore Verstappen. Ugh, very disappointed.
Vasseur has basically not done anything to improve upon where Binotto left the team in 2022.
As fun as a sprint succes is, it’s in the real races where the big points are to be scored.

At least overall, 2022 has been Ferrari’s best season since 2018. Not cool.

And in 2022 they had 8 DNFs too.

4 wins and 19 podiums in 2022 vs 5 wins and 22 podiums in 2024. Although two more races in 2024 and Leclerc had some shocking reliability in some parts of 2022.

You’re right, my bad. Somehow I missed 1 win from 2024. Still, I’ll take 4 wins, 19 podiums and P2 in both champs to 5 wins, 22 podiums and P3+P2 in the champs.

MichaelN,
I was skeptical the day he was announced on this proper forum. A B-class TP, nothing more. He can run an already established racing organization like Mercedes or RBR, though he’s not the right man to do the radical changes Ferrari needs in order to turn things around. 2 years and the team still stuck with the same issues from the Binotto era. It’s time to implement radical changes otherwise he should leave sooner rather than later.

While not a Ham fan, you have to synmpathise – he went from ecstacy to agony in 24 hours.
None of the technical disqualification reasons were new, so both teams need to take a long hard look at their processes.
Lets see what happens in 2 weeks.

It’s really crazy how people went from Ferrari and Hamilton are terrible (australia) , to Hamilton and ferrari are the best (sprint China), to back again to Hamilton and Ferrari are terrible again.
In my opinion their performance was: Australia was a 5 out of 10, sprint race 8 out of 10, and race 5 out of 10. This is excluding disqualification issue

It’s such a disaster that the Pope decided he had to leave hospital that day to distract attention from Ferrari.
