Red Bull should have seen Liam Lawson’s struggles in their car coming, says

That’s what happens when you ask a rookie too much. There are many reasons why chosing Yuki over Liam last december made the most sense, experience being the main one.

Red Bull chose to ignore all of them, under the idea that Liam had more potential to grow. Look where that took them all.

Tsunoda’s aggression against Ricciardo in Bahrain last year was unacceptable. He should have gotten a race ban for it, but maybe there was no rule for doing something like that after a race?

At least Yuki seems to have realised that he needed to cop on.

    1. While it’s was unacceptable the FIA couldn’t ban him as nothing happened (on track) IF they had crashed probally he would have to leave F1..
But an race ban for angre issuses then half of the field would be banned … so no it’s an team problem so they have to solved it and they did.

    2. I think Red Bull will have told him in VERY clear terms. Who knows, it might be THE reason (i.e. that being an example of his hot headedness and losing sight of the bigger picture at times) he wasn’t picked to go to Red Bull in the first place.

  2. Thermal Club never made any form of practical sense for Indycar, but then I imagine they were paid a lot to go there.

  3. So it’s like a goodbye for now, but that’s it. I’m still quite young and you never know what happens in the future. (Verstappen)

If only Honda were to power a car which is designed by the best designer for a team which has the most modern facilities and offering him a lot of money.

But that’s probably as likely as a haystack in a needle factory.

    1. Yeah, all pie in the sky dreaming :-)
