Good thing McLaren have two drivers at the front! That was mighty tight with Russel vs. Piastri at the front!

This is what I like to see.
Such a mix-up of teams and drivers at the start of a race can only make it entertaining.

I agree. I do hope they all get through without anyone tangling, but this grid promises at least a few cars who will be chasing faster cars in the top 7-8 who will be looking to gain places and should have the skills and/or cars to be able to have a go, and this track is decent enough for racing too.

2 of 4 poles for Piastri, it’s his time, a Lando DNF would open the championship a ton.

It’s high time we all agree on one thing…Norris is not WDC material!!! Piastri in his 3rd year has shown more of what it takes to become a champion than Norris in all his years in that McLaren.
I hope a DNF for Norris and Verstappen tomorrow. McLaren will have to face the truth. Piastri is their main driver. Norris had too many chances and he has binned it repeatedly!

Hamilton is really quite poor on a Saturday in last year or so. It will be intriguing to know exactly what is causing this.
Could it just be that he lacks the confidence and zeal to put the car on the limit?

Why is Hamilton in RED?

If you want a closely fought championship, why would you hope for a Norris and Verstappen DNF…?

Perhaps you are right…I do want a close championship but I want it to be between Piastri, Max, and maybe Russel and Leclerc too. So yeah, not a DNF for Max, only Norris please :)

Or they all they just drive the best races they can drive and the champion is the one who finished ahead of the rest. Pretty sure thats how its supposed to work

I think Norris best chance was last year…

Is that why he’s 13 points down in the championship?
Sure, Norris hasn’t maximised his chances – but Piastri has the same car and has done less with it.
He might be able to tip the balance tomorrow, we’ll see.
