  1. A decent race overall.

  2. Second stint was pretty boring. 6/10

  3. Pretty decent race, nothing great. I do think they should have given Verstappen a 10 second stop though, given everyone else has gotten such a penalty for the last year already. Not sure why he got the “driver of the day”, losing the lead from pole shouldn’t give you that. Piastri did a better job, Leclerc certainly did a better job and I would say Norris did a better job today too with a very decent fightback from Norris from 10th.

  4. Second stint was pretty boring. So was the first ;-) 4/10

    1. Zzzzzzzzz

  5. 5/10. Nothing different. Mercedes were a bit disappointing, RBR’s woes are vastly overstated, and Ferrari probably focused on one of their drivers this weekend.

    1. Or Leclerc is just much better than Hamilton. Please let’s not start the fake favouritism nonsense again.

  6. 3/10 from me.

Awful track, Too many boringly easy DRS passes, I still detest the DRS games we always see at the end of the lap because of the silly DRS layout which essentially renders a valid overtaking spot somewhere drivers don’t want to overtake because the next DRS zone is way more powerful.

And Max’s penalty really neutered the race. It was probably the right call to penalise Max but I really wish race control would just go back to instructing drivers to swap positions rather than handing out 5/10 second time penalties as half the time the penalty ends up been meaningless if the penalised driver is able to build a gap and in cases like today it just ends up kinda neutering the race.

I also really hope that one day we don’t have to suffer any of these horrid car park street circuits we have too many of nowadays because they are all simply some of the worst circuits i’ve ever had the displeasure of watching cars lap around.

The likes of Detroit, Dallas & Pheonix in the 80’s were horrid but at least they provided unique challenges because of how narrow, dusty & bumpy they were as well as having multiple surface changes over the lap. These modern car parks are wide, smooth, clean & use a similar tarmac mix as the permanent circuits so there’s just no extra or special challenge from any of them which just gives us boring races on awful circuits that are simply no fun watching cars lapping around.

    1. I think the 5 second penalty is better for dramatic pits / under-over taking.
the swap position would have ended the race effectively. The stewards are clearly thinking about the ‘big picture’ and not about what’s fair or usual. Thats why they are called clowns, because they act like clowns at a rodeo, trying to distract and cause dramatics.

      1. the swap position would have ended the race effectively

‘Swap positions’ is not a penalty the stewards can give.

The race director has authority to order drivers to give up any advantage gained.

  7. A thoroughly enjoyable race. The highlight was Oscar’s pass on Lewis. Great recovery drive from Lando and great to see Charles on the podium! Max being Max and keeping himself in the championship fight. Gave it an 8.

Atrocious track and atrocious cars and atrocious tyres. This season the title race is purely going to be interesting on the numbers rather than in track.

  9. I have gone with a 5.
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what I would call a real race.

The spineless stewards pretty much sums it up.

  10. Pretty dull. I also have to say, this season so far is probably the most boring F1 season I’ve ever seen. Sure, on paper it looks like a close championship, but the actual on-track action is almost nowhere to be found.

  11. 6/10 for me. OK but nothing too exciting. But not a total bore fest either. Good drives by Piastri and Leclerc. Passes were mostly boring, simple DRS ones.

I don’t like the circuit much. It’s actually the first time I have seen this race. Always managed to miss it every year entirely thus far. A happy accident probably.

  12. Boring track (fences, fences, fences, fences), boring race.
