   Verstappen should get 3 grid places penalty for full speed under yellow flags at the end.

      @regs @f1mre @panagiotism-papatheodorou Not necessarily. Depends on the specific mini-sector time, not the entirety of sector 3 nor the entire lap. Remember Hulkenberg and Rosberg in Austria and Hungary respectively both in 2016?

         Well… he didn’t slow down to the extent for it to be visible… if technically he “met” the requirement – quite questionable.

         There is no chance he would have improved had he slowed down sufficiently. The whole last corner was under double yellow.

      Onboard cam of Vettel clearly shows 2 yellow waving flags to the left in the screen, he goes off throttle. Behind comes Verstappen disregarding double yellow. Not room for debate here. Penalty for Max is inevitable. Maybe he did not see the flag, but he must have seen Bottas crashsite..

   Versteppen may get a penalty for that. Didn’t slow down with a car on the track.

   Vettel visibly slowed down at the last corner in his last lap.
   Verstappen set a purple last sector after Bottas’ crash. How is that possible?

         See my comment above. How did he lift but still set a purple? Vettel saw double yellows. Horner claims there were no yellows flags.

               And no one crashed, and Bottas just stopped there (AFTER Max drove by), and smashed his car to pieces, because his championship was over…

            @carbon_fibre @f1mre @dallein @regs It’s perfectly possible to set a purple lap time (or sector time) and still lift sufficiently for yellow-flags even on a dry track. It’s perfectly viable that he was significantly enough ahead in delta time after S2 that he, therefore, managed to remain positive in that delta despite slowing down at the last corner, i.e., lost time, but not all of it.

   Facepalm moment at the end. Shame for Seb. Glad Bottas is okay. Great lap by Max but may risk getting a grid penalty.

   Yeah its obvious that both Leclerc slowed down in last corner which is logical if the team told him about VB crash.
   For me Verstappen never slowed and did a purple 3nd sector and in the replay is obvious he is on full throttle. Also we need to hear the team radios in the last guys that passed after VB crashed.

      I thought Leclerc was ahead of Bottas before his crash.
      Unless you meant Leclerc was slowing down all through the lap anticipating the crash.

    So mmmmm, who said renault was the one making red bull strong at this track with their engine? I saw someone in the comments, both here and on reddit.

    Where are renaults now, out before q3? Weird!

    To me looks like it’s red bull doing better here, probably because of aero!

    Wingman has removed what little excitement was left in this years drivers title fight, with that crash. Well done Lewis on another drivers championship. Wingman, better luck next year.
