  1. RP took 3rd place, though, based on my calculations.

    1. I think you are correct, @jerejj.

    2. They would have been in solid 3rd had it not for the brake duct protest.

  2. Please check the constuctors championship standings , it’s old one I think RP is 120 mclaren is 116 Renault is 114

  3. Lewis can now finish 3rd in all remaining races and still be champion.

    1. Cut and dried but 2nd place competition is now a bit more interesting. If Max finally gets it in a vastly inferior car, it will mean a lot for him, and even more against Valtteri Bottas

      1. Except max has the fastest car this weekend.
        Fastest lap on used tires.

Nice try but I think Honda had enough of the lack of results from max/Redbull combo.

        1. max has the fastest car

          oh really?

what I saw is the leader just managing his vast advantage in pace, couldn’t be bothered to try and set a flap

        2. troll
          Rottroll

      2. Red bull finished 5sec behind Mercedes can we stop with this myth red bull is a lot slower then merc, they are very close

        1. No we can’t
As I say above, the leader spent the race managing his vast advantage. He has wisely adopted Fangio’s motto: “win as slowly as possible”, what’s the point of going flat out and risking an accident or a mechanical failure when you can win just by cruising? If Max had come uncomfortably near, we’d have seen him push a little harder and make up the distance again.

          1. you do realise Bottas was leading for half the race dont you? so first Bottas, then Hamilton were managing this vast advantage. you havent watched f1 for very long if you thing they were cruising around taking turns at 6g.

          2. Well over fifty years now. Hamilton and Bottas only fought the first two corners and later on Hamilton had it easy getting rid of Bottas who did a big mistake, afterwards it was only cruising. He never had to fight Max, only pushing a bit when restarting from the SC. Max prepared his flap by going slow the lap before last, harvesting power and losing 1.5 seconds to Hamilton, and unleashing it all in the last one to get the flap by 0.006 secs over Hamilton who did no effort for the flap. Whoever says the RedBull was faster yesterday because Max got the flap really needs to watch more F1.

    2. Bottas and Verstappen can also “finish 3rd in all remaining races and still be champion”. ;)

      1. @coldfly Haha fair point!!

      2. How can they both be third at the same time?XD

  4. Second win (after Spa) of the N2M2F1* season, complete with flap, for Danny Ric from 3rd place in the grid, in a race where the three drivers on top of the championship (Norris, Stroll & Albon) DNF’d making him the new leader! Anyway a disgraceful decision by the race director (a full SC near the end) robbed us of a mighty bid for the lead from Checo Perez with fresher tyres; had Perez been able to overtake Ric, which seemed likely, he would be leading the championship now.

The N2N2F1 driver classification is still fairly tight, with 5 drivers in a 22 point interval on top:
    01-RIC-134 points
    02-PER-125 points
    03-NOR-119 points
    04-STR-113 points
    05-ALB-112 points
    06-SAI-099 points
    07-GAS-097 points
    08-LEC-081 points
    09-OCO-071 points
    10-VET-050 points
    11-KVY-046 points
    12-HUL-020 points
    13-GIO-016 points
    14-RAI-013 points
    15-GRO-010 points
    16-LAT-006 points
    17-RUS-006 points
    18-MAG-004 points

And the constructor classification, with only a switch at the bottom, as Grosjean’s 7th position today gets Haas on top of Williams:
    1-Racing Point-258 points
    2-Red Bull**—240 points
    3-McLaren——218 points
    4-Renault——205 points
    5-Alpha Tauri–143 points
    6-Ferrari——131 points
    7-Alfa Romeo—029 points
    8-Haas———014 points
    9-Williams—–012 points

    *No Mercs No Max F1
**Being the sole Red Bull driver in N2M2F1, Albon’s points are worth double for the WCC

    1. And no RP Mercedes Replica.

    1. Didn’t all drivers start from the wrong grid position?
And having done so every race this season, they are all excluded from the championship :P

      1. Nope, in this admittedly alternate reality, there are only 17 grid positions and everyone starts in their right one

    2. Interesting how Leclerc is so much lower in this than in real life. I’m sure this is because the Ferrari is so inconsistent, top of the midfield one race and bottom the next.

      1. In a way Leclerc is not lower, he’s 8th in both
You are mostly right anyway, by removing the three top scoring drivers in RL he should be fifth, but somehow Gasly, Stroll & Sainz have crept past him.
Not sure inconsistency is such a bad thing in the midfield, because the scores at the top positions are disproportionately higher, i.e. a win plus a last (17th) position score a lot more than two mid (9th) positions: 25 vs 4 points

        1. Your calculations are simply wrong. Even without fastest laps, Leclerc should have at least 112 points in your championship. He already has 3 wins in N2M2F1 this year.

    3. what is the point of your imaginary championship? cant handle Mercedes winning going by all your comments.

      1. F1.5 was a good idea (not mine, mind you) that worked for several years, had a great website and thousands of followers. Its was were all the interesting stuff was going on. N2M2F1 is a continuation of F1.5 for this year, now that both Ferraris and Albon are solidly in the midfield.

  6. Lovely to see perez make such a jump. Especially after so many said he was having a a poor 2020 and deserved losing his seat. If he hangs on to such a high position it’ll be a tough measuring stick for Vettel in 2021

    1. I still find it hard to believe Vettel is the spin master.

    2. Who is dumb enough to think perez hasn’t been having a good year. He has completely embarrassed stroll in his dad’s team

      1. At the time of him getting booted he was much further down the standings than lance.

        1. It was too early in the season. Plus two less races so it is only a matter of perspective. When the decision was made Stroll had 42 points vs Perez 33.
If you take away the 10 points stroll had in Silverstone in those two races Sergio was on top by one point.
A businessman does not make a decision only based on a picture in time, they usually analize all the possibilities looking forward. The obvious correct decision at the time (and still today) was to keep Perez in their lineup.

        2. thats cos he missed 2 races from covid. take that into your equation. anyone can see Perez has had a better season than Stroll.
