  1. Wow, McLaren have pace!

    1. Indeed… almost 0.9sec off!

      1. Relative to the rest of the field, I meant!

        1. Got it. Wish they were in the titles fight or best of the rest instead of Mercedes.

  2. That was an intense Q3. Leclerc is spanking Carlos so far this year. Hopefully Mercedes gets on top of their issues and we have 3 teams fighting for Pole and victory every race.

Nah let’s have alpine instead. Mercedes can stay where they are.

      1. Sorry to disappoint you, but there’s no way they’ll stay where they are. They’ve shown they know how to put together pretty fast cars. This is just a temporary setback…

  3. So disappointed for Fernando, guy just can’t get a break!

    1. He had his shot, his best one in a while at least in quali, but bottled.it

      1. He was running for provisional pole when the engine is his car died on him RL. That has nothing to do with bottling it (you can even see him trying to steer, but with the engine gone, he cannot really brake nor even steer much anymore.)

      2. Tell me you didn’t watch qualifying without telling me you didn’t watch qualifying

      3. Bottled it? Hehehehe

      4. How do people like you comment nonsense so confidently?

      5. Gee ain’t this embarrassing.

      6. @RL pretty sure the guy could not shift down

  4. Go Charles!

Yup, Sainz is not better than Leclerc confirmed. Hopefully, this won’t cost Ferrari many points in the WCC fight. Most likely it’s the car too, but so far in the overall performance chart Perez seems to be closer to Verstappen than Sainz to Leclerc.

    It’s “hammer time”!!

Disappointed for ALO, BOT and MAG.

    1. Whoever needed that confirmation though, on downright pace Sainz never looked better than Leclerc. Last year, Sainz was extremely motivated and excelled with his consistency. I’m curious to see how he will deal with when the support of the team and fans forms behind Leclerc.

    2. Sainz may not be better than Leclerc but surely you cannot discount the impact of the red flag. Without it, that lap from Sainz was good for a front row position and that would surely have changed the complexion of the last runs. Of course one can then argue about him not holding his nerve when it then counted and yeah – that’s down to him but we’ve seen Leclerc and Max also bottle it on last runs before.

    3. Charles Leclerc is faster than Carlos Sainz and nobody in their right mind has a doubt about it. What Carlos has shown so far is better consistency. But this might just be Charles’ year to be consistent and get his first WDC. Otherwise he might get beaten again by his slower teammate. Hare and tortoise déjà vu anyone?

  5. What are the odds on the two Billion-Dollar Babies coming together again in the race? I’ve had to extend my DVR schedule an extra hour because just 30 minutes was causing me to miss the end of quali due to red flags. Lance Stroll interrupts again! Though I prefer his eyebrows to Latifi’s.
