The producers of upcoming new Formula 1 management simulator F1 Manager 22 have revealed how the game ranks the current 20 drivers.

Both games rate the drivers on a 100-point scale. F1 Manager 22’s scores are lower overall, by 0.95 on average, but there are a few notable differences between its rankings and those of F1 22, which was released at the end of last month.

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have the highest scores in both games, 90 in F1 Manager 22 and 94 in F1 22.

At the opposite end of the scale Nicholas Latifi has the lowest score in both games: 73 in F1 Manager 22 and 70 in F1 22. He shares the bottom spot in the latter with Zhou Guanyu. However the Alfa Romeo driver has a much stronger rating in F1 Manager 22, nine points higher. That puts the rookie not only ahead of Latifi, but also Yuki Tsunoda and Mich Schumacher.

Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz Jnr are the only drivers rated exactly the same by both games, at 84 and 87 respectively.

F1 Manager 22’s rankings are much more extensive than F1 22’s. They include Formula 2, Formula 3 and test and reserve drivers, as well as some F1-connected drivers from other championships. The full ratings for these drivers have not yet been released.

Among those whose ratings have been revealed include reigning Formula 2 champion Oscar Piastri on 75 and Formula E world champion Nyck de Vries on 74 – both higher than Latifi.

Ex-F1 drivers scored in the game include Antonio Giovinazzi (78), Nico Hulkenberg (76), Stoffel Vandoorne (72), Sebastien Buemi (72), Robert Kubica (69), Jack Aitken and Pietro Fittipaldi (both 66).

The ratings include many drivers in junior series who are not currently eligible for superlicences, who are available for promotion to your chosen F1 team further into the game. We’ll get a full picture of the ratings of all the drivers closer to the release of F1 Manager 22 next month.

    1. My Steam Deck is ready, bring it on. Very excited to finally have a new F1 Management game.

      1. I’ll be excited if it proves to be any good. These licensed products have a tendency to disappoint, so won’t raise my hopes too high until I give it a go (if I do). It looks more promising than the driving F1 game though, fingers crossed. I’ve really enjoyed that F1 manager game back in the day (“Push, push, push… Okay, okay, okay”, radio communication was rather simple and I still laugh when I remember how many times did I hear that… Otherwise it was a decent game).

      2. Thinking to buy a steam deck this week. How has the experience been for you using it and games compatibility. Possible to play full PC games on its buttons?

    2. Dang. They even have engineers. This is the most nerdy game ever of the sport. Shame I will not enjoy it since I no longer have a computer or a console. But I can’t wait to watch videos on youtube from the content creators.

    3. First challenge of the game, Kubica in a Williams to be WDC and WCC.

The graphics look cool. I currently don’t own a console because because there are too many to choose.

    5. Looks nice, but I’m probably too casual a gamer for this. I’m afraid it will remind me of work too much :-)

Being that I played EA Sports F1 Manager to absolute death whilst I was younger, this will probably ingest all of my free time going forward. Still might be very niche in appeal though.
