  1. I thought Alonso’s strategic choice proved wrong, but probably no difference in the end.

    1. Woah, don’t tell lies like this. It was Aston Martin’s decision not his. Fernando actually questioned that decision over the radio.

    Quite a good race, even if the finishing order for the podium was the same as it started. Congratulations to Max, Alonso (potentially so close yet so far), and especially Ocon.

  3. Whilst the final result have been much close, I still think Max would have won, even if AMR made the right call in the first instance.

    The element often overlooked with Monaco is that the cars are mostly equal (few exceptions), which showed quite clearly in the qualification positions.

    Monaco is a track where position is king, however, Max was never in a position whereby his lead was likely to be challenged. AMR’s strategy error cemented it.
