Alonso very light and Button heavy with fuel (Hungarian Grand Prix fuel loads)

Fernando Alonso used a very light fuel load to take pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Behind him, both the Red Bulls are at least 14kg heavier and Brawn’s Jenson Button has 27kg more than the Renault driver. Here are the fuel loads in full:

Mark Webber will start from pole position for the first time in his F1 career tomorrow after mastering tricky conditions at the Nurburgring. The Brawns of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button will line up behind him with Sebastian Vettel only fourth for his home race. Lewis Hamilton’s rejuvenated McLaren starts from fifth on the grid.

Untouchable Vettel romps to Silverstone victory (British Grand Prix review)

Sebastian Vettel obliterated his rivals at Silverstone, leading team mate Mark Webber home in a one-two finish for the rampant Red Bulls. Jenson Button was unable to deliver the result the home crowd wanted – he slumped to his worst finish of the year, sixth, which was no better than where he qualified.
