So round two takes place in much better weather conditions that the snowy opener at Brands Hatch three weeks ago. Andy Neate isn’t at Donington with his self-run Chevrolet Cruze and the third Motorbase NGTC Ford of Michael Caine doesn’t appear to have turned up as planned.

Gordon Shedden was quickest in the first practice session ahead of Matt Neal and then the two MGs of Sam Tordoff and Jason Plato. TOC was 13th, the Tony Gilham cars did a test at Silverstone the other day and the Volkswagen has been significantly updated.
