Participant@bradley13 – Sure, I’m happy with that if @JamieFranklinF1 is? I think we worked well together and did alright last year considering we missed quite a few races.

ParticipantMERCEDES RE-SIGN JEZ HANCOX AND JAMIE FRANKLIN
After much speculation about the 2012 driver line-up for Mercedes, the answer was given to us today as Mercedes announced that they will re-sign both of their drivers for the upcoming season. Team Principal Ross Brawn has this to day:
“Last season was okay for us. The car was reasonable, but unfortunately we weren’t that reliable, and overall that effected us in a large way in both the driver’s and constructor’s. However, the drivers, we believe both showed some great talent, and with that were able to secure numerous podiums and we hope that this year we can provide them with a better car to get there on a more regular basis and maybe even challenge for the win,”
With the facilities that Mercedes have, it’s not a bad assumption that the team is quietly confident about their chances this season.
We caught up with Jamie Franklin, who had this to say – “I’m very pleased to re-sign with Mercedes GP for 2012. The team is fantastic, and have put so much effort into improving the car for this season, and I’m definitely looking to getting into it and seeing just how much it has improved, because there is no doubt in my mind that it has,”
When asked about his team mate, Jamie sounded very optimistic. “Jez is a great team mate. He’s quick, he’s consistent and he’s a great guy to work with, so I’m very happy to be working with him for a second season,”
Unfortunately we weren’t able to get a hold of Jez for comments, but we’re sure that he’s more than happy to have signed with a team with such calibre and history as Mercedes.

ParticipantIf only two I shall re-amend my choices.

2:Red Bull
3:Sauber.26th February 2012, 7:54 at 7:54 am #192979sozavele
Participant@spud There may be one or two free seats if some people don’t respond. Also bare in mind if you do get a seat there probably wont be many seats so enter the choices like we have and look at the list of available seats, although, wait for Bradley to come back, I’m sure you will have a great time.

ParticipantFRANKLIN WORRIED ABOUT 2012
__________________________________________________________________________With Pre-Season testing almost over, and the brink of the new season upon us, it is still unknown the order to which the cars will run in. It is very likely that the main protagonists will remain somewhere at the top, with the likes of McLaren, with their very strong driver line-up going into the season as favourites.
We spoke to Jamie, who gave us his opinion on the 2012 season, and what he expects – “Like last season, it’s going to be tough. We saw very strong pace at the front, which I personally couldn’t emulate, and a lot of the time that was frustrating for me. This season, I actually expect it to be even tougher, especially from a team like McLaren who have two phenomenal drivers, and if the car is good, then they’ll be very difficult to beat,”
“I think the real problem for us, or at least me, is the tyres. Some of the teams and drivers have a little bit more experience in terms of tyre usage than our team, and that could well come into play. At the moment, I feel like I’m struggling, because I don’t think I can make the tyres last quite as long as some of the other drivers and that really hinders me towards the end of a stint,”
It’s very rare that a driver gives such honest opinions about his performance before the start of the season and it will be very interesting to see just how much the tyre performance will effect him and the Mercedes team in the 2012 season.

ParticipantIm guessing @spud has applied to race in this Championship but for some reason the message isn’t appearing :/. I will put you down but would appreciate it if you could repost your message :)

Participant@shyguy1992 – I know you have been on this website since I last messaged you and thus you have ignored my message or at least not responded. This is your LAST chance to respond and decide whether you want to enter the Championship. I will send you a private message as well but by the next time I log on, if I see you’ve been on and not responded, you will lose your slot. You have been warned.
26th February 2012, 15:13 at 3:13 pm #192984sozavele
Participant@bradley13 I think you should let him go, by not responding the question is answered itself, if you are going to give him time, it should probably be 2 or 3 hours.

Participant@formula-1 – I give people 2 mentions.
Once it is thier turn I will give them one mention. If I see they have been on this site but not replied to the mention they will get a second mention and a private message. If they do not respond to this, then they wil sacrifice their place. I can afford to do this as we still have quite a few weeks until the season starts.26th February 2012, 15:31 at 3:31 pm #192986Anonymous
Inactive@bradley13 To be honest, somehow I’ve missed the fact that the series is 19 races long! I doubt very much I could commit to that. I would do my best but a whole year is very difficult to plan ahead. I missed a couple of Collantine Cup races too and that series only had 8 races.
I will say yes provisionally, but it’s your call whether to give me the place. If you don’t there’s no hard feelings. :)
1st Choice: Renault
2nd Choice: Sauber
3rd Choice: Force India26th February 2012, 15:43 at 3:43 pm #192987Bradley Downton
Participant@spud – Im not worried if you miss races, it’s your Championship challenger you’re hurting! ;) haha.
If you do miss loads of races though, I do reserve the right to award your place to someone else if they can commit to the whole season :). But I highly doubt that will happen, we have 16 places, so Im sure you’ll have a space. -
