Codemasters today announced that F1 Challenge – an officially licensed Formula One videogame for iPad and iPhone – has launched on the App Store today for £1.99. In F1 Challenge players will complete over 90 racing events and recreate thrilling moments from the 2012 FIA Formula One world championship with slick touch controls for on-the-go gaming.
Gamers can see F1 Challenge in action in a new video now playing at http://www.youtube.com/formula1game. Drivers including Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton are shown going wheel-to-wheel in the trailer alongside Formula One content, including stats and info about the sport, which the player can collect as they progress through the game.
F1 Challenge has been developed for quick-fire Formula One racing on the go. Featuring officially licensed Formula One cars, stars and teams, players can take on a wide range of different racing challenges and modes including Time Trials, Duels, Chase the Ace, Race events and short Grand Prix challenges with 12 cars on track. As gamers complete challenges they will unlock an in-game collection of Formula One facts and trivia about cars, teams, tracks and drivers.
F1 Challenge features a simple and slick control system, with options for both left and right handed gamers. Players will feel the thrill of Formula One on the move by using touch to steer, a simple tap to deploy KERS and by slipstreaming to gain the advantage on their opponents in the game’s isometric view, tuned for Apple’s Retina displays.

ParticipantUhm… -elephant in the room- why is it the 2012 season? They have licensed 2013, else they wouldn’t have made F1 2013, so why not use it?

Inactive@andae23 I guess because the gameplay features around completing challenges based on the events of a season. As the 2013 season hasn’t finished yet (yeah… right) a complete story can’t be told.

ParticipantBought it, it’s fun! But to be able to play some of the
more interesting challenges you have to collect a lot of stars… and I mean a LOT. - AuthorPosts
