@sirspuddington – I’m not 100% on which is the fastest or best one to be honest! Out of all of them, maybe one of the Audi R8’s or Group C cars might be the best or most fun to drive. The Peugeot 908s are good as well, and are more easily obtainable, since they are premium. All of the cars listed (except possibly the Audi R10) go to 700PP, which is the limit, of course.

If you need any more guidance then there are some threads on GTPlanet that can point you in the right direction.

So can you make it for 8pm on Monday? :) The track is Grand Valley Speedway.

@david-a I’ll need to put in some hours on GT5… The moment I get one of the cars I’ll let you know :) as it stands I cannot race but I hope to soon :)

I am interested in joining, but as I don’t have a wheel set up I can only use a controller, which puts me at a disadvantage if tc is not allowed. I don’t use the dynamic racing line as I feel it makes racing far too easy, one should learn the track and not just follow a line on the road that tells them where to be, where to brake, and when to accelerate. If racing line was disallowed, and tc allowed at a low level (2 max, just to allow drivers using a controller to keep up with the drivers with proper wheel setup), then ill be keen. I’ve also got all the dlc and almost all the prototypes, so I’m good to go on any track

Feel free to add me, my psn is a_pie_4_all. I know its a silly name but I was drunk when I created it and all my progress is on that account so I’m not keen on starting games over on a better name lol

@fangio85 – Great, I’ll add you. I don’t use the racing line either, though I also don’t use TC (I use a pad as well). Since it is a relatively minor change, I’ll consider excluding the racing line, and allowing TC at 1.

Cheers mate, I also don’t use tc offline, but if I’m using a wheel I find I’m much faster and capable of finer control over throttle and braking, so using a pad against wheel users I feel tc and abs at 1 help to even out the competition. Using a wheel I wouldn’t use any aids as it slows me down

I use nothing except racing line offline and I’m fine. @david-a what is the max amoubt of money I’ll need for a car at or under 700pp

@sirspuddington – Alright, cool :P The online seasonal events in the game can get you the money pretty fast (much faster than the A-Spec events).

@david-a I only realised late last night lol I was winning some A-Spec races and the progress was so slow so I checked around the best way for faat cresits and seasonal events were mentioned a lot. Because I’ve only managed to get my car up to 517pp and other cars are quicker and they battpe means I can’t quite win but 2nd and usually 3rd are well within my reach. I can’t wait although I’m not great at gt5 lol

A proper racing series should never allow the racing line. Learn the track properly.

@ajokay so the ARL isn’t a proper racing series?

They obviously are, but really, c’mon… the racing line? How can you take yourself seriously as a virtual racer if you still use the racing line?
