This year’s Race of Champions takes place in Bangkok and will pit F1 talent like Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher and Narain Karthikeyan against other international racing talent including Ryan Hunter-Reay, Jorge Lorenzo, David Coulthard and Karun Chandhok.

If there’s sufficient interest in this year’s event I’d be happy to set up an F1 Fanatic Live for it. It’s on the weekend of the 15th/16th December.

I’m glad to see our Indian supertalent finally getting some acknowledgement by being named in the same sentence as 9 (10?) German WDC’s.

Just been announced that Romain Grosjean and Sébastien Ogier will represent Team France this year. Ogier will be defending his 2011 “Champion of Champions” title

@mnmracer 2 German WDCs. They share 10 titles, but that does not make them 10 champions. They were champion, 10 times.

@raymondu999 Didn’t Murray Walker once say that there are 9 world champions on the grid, 7 of them being Michael Schumacher, or something along those lines? :P

Depends on the definition of WDC ;-)
    World Driver Champions
    or
    World Driver Championships

@mnmracer yeah – but then they WON the WDC 10 times. Schumacher and Vettel wouldn’t be “10 championships” ;)

@enigma lol! Well… he also said Bernie bought McLaren :P

In the individual category, Group C is very interesting – all are multiple world champions in the premier classes on 2 or 4 wheels (local wildcard notwithstanding), and should be a cracking watch.

In the group category… well, that will be Team Germany through to the semis, no? Will probably even top the group. I would’ve put one wild-card team per group, but that’s just me.

Vettel vs. Lorenzo should be interesting. It’ll be awesome to see this years’ F1 and MotoGP World Champions go head to head!
