There are some pictures of the Austin track progress on facebook.
For someone wanting a quick look, this photo of progress…
goes well with this photo someone has put on flickr of google maps showing the track overlay.

I guessed there would be more to see by now but I doubt anyone except those working on the project can say whether it is ahead or behind schedule at this stage.

1st June 2011, 19:05 at 7:05 pm #170605ScribeParticipantLooks very flat indeed, none of the fabled elevation we were promised, unless they intend to shift one hell of a lot of dirt I don’t see it being any other then the most Tilke of Tilke circuits.

They’re taken from such a height and angle that all of the elevation changes are invisible. If you get on Google Earth, find the site (near Elroy, Texas), and adjust the view apparpriately, you can clearly see the surrounding countryside is quite hilly.
Why on earth would the organisers make such a song and dance about having a ciricuit with elevation changes and releasing photos of the site pre-construction that clear show hills, only to bulldoze them all?
