So far what car would you say sounds the best?
I think its between the Renault & the Red Bull. Hearing these cars on downshifts and on the rev limiter in the pits was amazing. They both sounded so brutal.
For sure it’s the Renault. Sounds absolutely amazing.
It sounds like it just keeps accelerating, very crispy!
Yeah, the Renault was the one i noticed at Australia making some seriously nice noise. I haven’t heard much of the Mercedes this season yet, but last season it was both terrifyingly harsh sounding but beautiful at the same time :)

I don’t know what they’ve done, but the sound as it drives away at full throttle is different to most other cars.

I was at Albert Park I think the Renaults were one of the loudest but Im not sure if they were the loudest. Im not sure which were the best sounding I cant rememeber I wasnt paying enough attention. I remeber the McLarens were not one of the loudest cars, and the HRT’s were quite loud. And Lotus’…
Red Bull is my vote. Virgin just chugs..
In all honesty F1 cars have all sounded pretty much the same to me for the last 15 years. When listened to individually I can tell slight differences but when there’s a group of them together there’s no way of telling what’s what.
Now, when Ferrari had their V12’s…
1. safety car! love that sound!
2. last year’s mclaren under engine braking
3. everything else sounds the same
@F1Yankee Are you honestly saying you couldn’t tell the difference between the awful sounding Ferraris of ’09 and ’10 from the others? :P
