Happy Birthday to Jim Clark who would have been 80 today. My favorite race car driver was the epitome of a racer and a gentleman . He is the reason I have been a Formula 1 fan since the age of 10. I started seriously following his career after watching him race in the Indy 500. This was back in the day when drivers raced in F1, Indy cars, NASCAR (stock car racing then) and just about anywhere, any time they could get in a car to compete. Smooth, fast, never a dirty racer, as was eloquently stated by a fan long ago; “Clark was best.”
