2.Bianchi
3Ericsson
4.ChiltonEverybody else, who put out brave, innovative designs (i.e. Newey) would’ve toasted their engines before the end of Q3. On the other hand, I bet the bottom 2 teams probably went with a very conservative design :)

InactiveWhy are people doubting red bull over 1 lap? it’s obvious that Vettel will be on pole. No matter how happy people are the Red Bull are suffering atm, it’s typical that come Q3, the red bull will be the car to beat
Q3? That’s a bit scary.

ParticipantWhy not, I’m having a slow day at work. A Mercedes is going to be on pole I think and it’ll probably be Hamilton driving it. Red Bull will be able to cover a lap by the time we get to Melbourne and they’ll be able to do it quickly no doubt. Ferrari will be next ahead of McLaren, with Williams being best of the rest. So I think it’ll look something like this:
1. Hamilton
2. Vettel
3. Rosberg
4. Raikkonen
5. Alonso
6. Button
7. Ricciardo
8. Magnussen
9. Bottas
10. Grosjean
11. Hulkenberg
12. Massa
13. Maldonado
14. Perez
15. Sutil
16. Gutierrez
17. Kvyat
18. Vergne
19. Bianchi
20. Kobayashi

ParticipantIm amazed some still expect Redbull (Vettel) making the top5. In my view, they stand no chance, and are probably worse of now, than Mclaren was last year, and Ferrari the year before.

Participantthese are my prediction after Jerez
1. Hamilton — 2. Rosberg
3. Button —– 4. Raikkonen
5. Alonso —– 6. Magnussen
7. Massa —— 8. Bottas
9. Vettel —- 10. Grosjeanbut after first test of Bahrain, I think it would be like this
1. Hamilton — 2. Rosberg
3. Button —– 4. Magnussen
5. Massa —— 6. Bottas
7. Raikkonen — 8. Alonso
9. Hulkenberg 10. Perezconsidering that Ferrari said that they will start explore the fast lap times in second test of Bahrain (and most likely other teams), the initial pecking order is still shaping up. But honestly, at this moment I can’t say that any Renault-powered car will be there at Melbourne Q3.

17th) Pastor Maldonado
18th) Jean-Eric Vergne
19th) Romain Grosjean
20th) Max Chilton
21st) Kamui Kobayashi
22nd) Marcus EricssonThe RB10 is a glass cannon – quick enough, but extremely fragile, so Vettel could still make Q3 and I see Ricciardo getting bumped out in Q2. Hulkenberg’s luck at Melbourne is atrocious so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets bumped in Q2 at the very last minute, and Perez is a better qualifier than most people think – he’s defeated his teammates in qualifying every year of his brief F1 career. I had McLaren up in the Top 4 last time, I still think Button will do well here as usual, but they didn’t make the steps forward the way Williams did in Bahrain Test 2 so my expectations for them are tempered just a little. Caterham’s duo will occupy row 11 but still get in above 107%. Bianchi will get to Q2 on a dry lap and be a genuine point-scoring threat, but Marussia has had reliability issues too…
