    Hi1
I was looking at the F1 sporting regulation changes in the 80’s, and I just can’t solve the meaning one particular change.
From 1981, there is a reg change, which only says: Grid 1x1x1
After googling for hours, I still can’t find, what does it mean.
Do any of you guys know what does it stand for ?

I’m only guessing but I think Grid 1x1x1 means the starting grid looks like it does currently instead of 1st and 2nd in line with one another.

Or maybe like in MotoGP where three vehicles are on the first row. No idea to be honest…
