Following one of the best races for a while in Bahrain at the weekend I was just wondering what other mentions people would give for the best race of this century?
My top 10 cut would probably be;
1. Canada 2011
2. Hungary 2006
3. Brazil 2003
4. Bahrain 2014
5. Japan 2005
6. Belgium 2000
7. China 2010
8. Silverstone 2003
9. China 2011
10. Europe 2012Honorable mentions: Germany 2000, Brazil 2001, Belgium 2004, Germany 2007, Monaco 2008, Australia 2010, Germany 2011, USA 2012, and Brazil 2012.
By the way, I didn’t include races such as Japan 2000 or Brazil 2008 because they were only exciting due the championship being on the line. Take the WDC suspense out of the equation, and the races by themselves were quite boring. Brazil 2012 was an exciting race with or without the championship, but without the WDC on the line it would not have been rated as highly.
