One curious fact about the 2013 Abu Dhabi GP was that a solar eclipse actually occurred and was visible during the race. Awesome!
A bit of research show that, in the history of F1, in only 6 times a visible solar eclipse occurred during a GP weekend (all of them partial eclipses), and the only one occurring during the actual race was this one, in Abu Dhabi 2013. Another notable fact is that half of them were during the Monaco GP:
20/05/1966 – Monaco (Friday), between 09:05 and 11:35
30/06/1973 – France (Saturday), between 11:35 and 13:13
11/05/1975 – Monaco (Sunday), at about 07:00
31/05/2003 – Monaco (Saturday), between 04:27 and 06:15
01/08/2008 – Hungary (Friday), between 11:02 and 12:39
03/11/2013 – Abu Dhabi (Sunday), between 17:20 and 19:05
