MemberThanks sbl on tour.
RobR I love Spa. I love the speed, the first and sector sector esp, the beautiful scenery andf the epic gradient changes. However, the top 5 I picked all grab me for different reasons and I love them. I’ve never quite loved Spa in the same way but it is a very close contender for the top 5 for me.

ParticipantMore or less in order:
Spa
Monza
Istanbul
Suzuka
Melbourne
Judging by how much I enjoy driving them. Most of the other tracks are ok too.
*edit*
Missed the question at the bottom, I prefer the Nurburgring, the second half of the lap especially flows quite nicely.

ParticipantMy favorite tracks are:
1. Monza
2. Osterreichring
3. Spa-Francorchamps(1950.-1970.)
4. Hockenheim(1970.-2001.)
5. Silverstone(1950.-1973.)
The reason why I think they are so great is because of many slip-stream duels that took place on them (for example Silverstone 1969).

ParticipantI also don’t have any particular favourite track for the same reason as PM.
Re. old tracks: I’d also like to see the A1-Ring back, it often produced fun races as far as I can remember… also, although the racing wasn’t fantastic, I always thought Magny-Cours was a good track, especially the Estoril (the long right-hander) and the fast Nuerburgring and Imola chicanes.

ParticipantMy top five are
1 Intergalos
2 Spa
3 Montreal
4 Silverstone
5 Sepang.
These tracks, not only produce great racing, they have a mix of corners, a balance between driver and chassis in terms of time gained, except Sepang, history and folklore, fantastic passionate fans, variable conditions, from blazing sun to pouring rain. Always to be looked foward too, love em, great thread.

ParticipantMy favourite are as follows (in no particular order!)
Spa
Montreal
Melbourne
Monza
Silverstone
They are the tracks that get me really excited prior to the race.
I always liked the Austrian GP – was always good to see the F1 cars flying through the Alps.

ParticipantCurrent tracks
1. Spa – the purest curcuit left on the calender, based on what were public roads carved beautifully into the land scape with epic corners and an unmatched flow, brilliant track.
2. Monza – they should really get rid of the first and second chicanes though
3. Silverstone – they keep changing it but somehow they manage to keep the challenge of the curcuit
4. Suzuka – the best purpose built conventional short curcuit (Silverstone was an airfield and Monza an oval originaly) looking at its wiki entry I though this was a brilliant bit of stating the obvious. Someone clearly was having a laugh writing it
“Due to the obvious danger it would present, the track doesn’t actually intersect with itself; instead, the back straight passes over the front section by means of an overpass.”
5. Monaco – I don’t really need an explaination for this one but even the dull races look amazing. I will always remember 2007 being a dull race but simply not getting bored watching the two McLarens racing through the entrance to the swimming pool one after the other. Magic.
No longer on the calender
1. Nordschleife – apparently inspired by the Isle of Man Mountain Curcuit, obviously doesn’t come close to the TT course but it wasn’t a bad effort :p
2. Clermont-Ferrand
3. Imola
4. Old Hockenheim
5.A1/ Osterreichring

MemberAds21, in addition to the Monza chicanes, they also neutered the Lesmo corners in 1994.

InactiveDifficult to pick only five and put them in order, but I’ll try:
1. South Africa, Kyalami (1992)
2. Italy, Monza (2000)
3. San Marino, Imola (Pre-1995)
4. Australia, Albert Park
5. Austria, A-1 Ring
