2015 FIA European F3 Championship season

    On the driver front, it’s really hotting up, now that the FIA super-licence points system has been released. Antonio Giovinazzi is the current title favourite, with the rest of last year’s top 8 unlikely to return. ‘Gio’ and Ferrari junior Lance Stroll require a top two placing, to be eligible for F1 in 2016, while the rest of the confirmed drivers so far will need to win the championship.

    These are: the returning Jake Dennis, Santino Ferrucci, Gustavo Menezes and Michele Beretta; Charles Leclerc, Alessio Lorandi, George Russell, Alex Albon, Dorian Boccolacci and Mikkel Jensen. It’s looking like it will be tough to place top ten, never mind win the championship, with the amount of junior champions now joining up!

    Teams-wise, it’ll be interesting to see if the new Artline chassis matches up with the established Dallara, while Motopark, Ma-con and Signature have joined/re-joined the series.

    It’ll be tough to live up to last year. But I’m very keen to see how Leclerc does after his excellent performances in FR2.0 Eurocup last year. And Russell too.

    True.. and whether Lorandi can be as impressive as Verstappen next year! But Leclerc could really be a world beater.

    So quiet topic.
    Let’s see who will win first 2 today.
    Rosenqvist won 1st pole, but his 2nd was deleted by illegal bodywork.
    And the polesitter goes to LECLERC!!!

    Verstappen, Ocon, Leclerc… these are the names of F1 in the future! Naturally, not all will probably get a shot though..

    Looks like Russell and Leclerc, behind Rosenqvist and Giovinazzi..

    Maisano a guide for Stroll? Ilott besting Lorandi so far.

    Ilott’s very lucky to get a Carlin F3 drive in his first year in cars. Even Max V wasn’t that lucky last year.

    @fastiesty @billyos @wsrgo Didn’t have time to mention it until now but live streaming of the races can be found on F1 Fanatic Live in the F3 tab. Tomorrow’s race is at 9:15am UK time so should be shortly after the chequered flag falls in Shanghai. See you there!

    How was the races 4 you guys?
    I saw the potential especially from Charles and George. Gutted that Stroll was taken out in race 1, hope he unlocks more. While Giovinazzi looks better that Rosenqvist a bit.

    Yes it was that bad, it was ridiculous. Drivers braking too late, drivers not giving each other room. It’s like indoor karting with rookies.
