ParticipantCool, thanks for that guys. I won’t take loads of food to cook, I can never be bothered to cook when tenting as its such a pain lol.
I feel a little as if I’m missing out by not going to Silverstone again this year but on the other hand super excited about going to Spa :)

ParticipantThanks for lots of info on the best place to watch for general admission. Next question is the pit walk, is it a ridiculous queue like silverstone? A couple of hours queueing I assume? We are staying with campingf1 but need to get to the circuit on Thursday, is it free parking this day does anyone know ?

ParticipantEasily a couple of hours queueing for the pitwalk, and the drivers don’t come out for long.. Not sure about Free parking on Thurs, it could be.
They only open the gate at La Source for the pit walk, so if you’re staying at the Elephant or Eau Rouge Camping (No shuttle bus on Thurs) leave extra time to get to the right entrance.

ParticipantHi guys
What is Spa like on the Thursday? Is there access to the circuit at all and if not what is the best place to hang out?
I will get to camping F1 at midday and would then head to the circuit if there is anything there
Any advice would be welcome26th June 2015, 22:21 at 10:21 pm #301034oweng
ParticipantHi all
Going for first time this year, great info on GA spots.
We’re staying in Brussels and have coach travel to spa and back included in ticket. Does anyone have experience of this coach? Do you just show your race ticket to travel? Thanks for any help.

ParticipantThere is access on the Thursday, but only through the La Source entrance, there’s usually a long queue, but its good natured, then a dash to the pits when they open the gates, the drivers do come out but not for long, but you’re inside the circuit for perhaps 2 hours, photo ops galore on the start finish straight. then out come the Quad bikes and you’re herded out like sheep to the bootleg merchandisers, chip stall and pub serving delicious cherry beer. I enjoy it a lot :)

ParticipantFolks, prepare for stupid questions…
Spa 2015 will be our first GP, we’ve got GA tickets! I’ve read advice that a circuit commentary is broadcast on FM, is this still the case and is it in English?
We are also discussing the best form of seating, is it worth taking folding chairs or would we be better with some form of mat so we can be more mobile? I’ve got visions of being sat on the ground looking trying to see through folk in chairs.
Many thanks.

ParticipantHi,
First time going to Spa also!
Was wondering how much roughly I can expect to pay for parking & camping (2ppl) for Friday-Sunday, and where people recommend? I have had a look online but wasn’t clear which prices were per person etc.
Thanks!

ParticipantOn there (Elephant camping) it says
Package:
Donnerstag bis – Sonntag – 135,00 Euro
Thursday to Sunday – 135,00 EuroPackage:
Freitag bis Sonntag – 120,00 Euro
Friday to Sunday – 120,00 EuroBut on the picture it says 135 eur/day?? Presuming it’s not per day, as that would be crazy expensive? Thanks

ParticipantIt’s not per day but you do have to pay 6 euro per day per person for the toilet and showers plus deposit. Our camping tickets in total this year cost 255 euros that’s for 2 people camping but I think you get 20 euros back if you leave your spot tidy. Fill the form in online and the guy sends you an invoice with final charge you need to pay by paypal.

Participantyou can book your train tickets for internal travel in Belguim, they are doing a cracking “weekend “ticket that is usually only available to use after 7pm on a friday night till midnight on a sunday but you can use it from friday all day till monday saving 50%
Nearest station to the circuit is Verviers and theres buses right outside the station to the track that usually drop you off just outside eau rouge27th July 2015, 11:07 at 11:07 am #302559Chris Mottram
ParticipantDoes that mean we can make unlimited journeys over the weekend on one return ticket or do we have to buy them for each day?
