According to some media reports Red Bull could use TAG badged Renaults next season. This will explain Horner’s comment earlier this week when he said that Red Bull’s engine deal wont make Ron Dennis too happy (remember Mclaren TAG-Porsche and Ron’s affection for the Mclaren heritage?).

In view of the repeating Hamilton v Rosberg incidents and of the constant complaints about inconsistent stewarding in F1, I would say that a clear rule about cornering priority is long overdue. I am amazed that there is nothing of the sort in the F1 rules, although such a rule would not be that difficult to phrase.
Case 1) Corner entry
Although…[Read more]

Formula One 7 years, 2 months ago
Whilst watching cars make their way down the never-ending back straight at Yas Marina it got me thinking about straights. Corners (rightfully) get all the attention in but straights tend to get little or no recognition at all – and if they are mentioned the corners at either end always get a mention. Are all straights boring or are there some…[Read more]

I was thinking about how we have so many similar tracks now with a long straight and it made me wonder which grand prix has/had the least straights.
Has there ever been a track with no decent straights. Monacco is the obvious candidate but I wondered if anyone can think of a race with less straight sections, especially not on a street circuit?
