ParticipantWe will be staying in Saint Raphael and were intending to train to Moanco on the Thursday and Saturday.
Looking at the train timetables it looks like 2.5 hours each way on the train, and the cost soon adds up for 4 people !
We will have a hire car at our disposal, and we have driven to Monaco last year during the week after the race. Is there any point in considering driving instead of train, considering its not race day, only practice & quali days, or is it just chock-a-block with traffic and a waste of time ?
Can you pre-book car parking on these days, and if so, any suggestions ?
I guess Thursday will probably be quiet enough for driving in, but what about Saturday – Is it mad busy, or do the rich folk only bother with the Sunday ?
Thanks a million.

ParticipantHelp! We should be going to Nice/Monaco this weekend for 10 days, all booked for over 10 months now. But today we have been told by the rental agency that the apartment we booked & payed for in Beausoleil is not available! We’ve been offered a replacement in Nice or money back. We did Nice last year and, although it was ok, I didn’t want the 4 day back and forth on the train, so booked Beausoleil really early. Don’t know what to do as everything is more expensive now with very little choice. Any advice? Thanks

ParticipantSorry to hear that Angie, not sure what to suggest.
We don’t have any apartments left and all of our Beausoleil hotels have been booked up for months.
The only available accommodation I know of is in Nice/outside of Monaco, hotels in Monaco or yacht cabins (I can get you a fabulous deal on an en-suite cabin on a yacht for 4 days with full hospitality etc etc etc…but a fabulous deal which saves thousands of euro still has a hefty price tag by comparison to an apartment in Beausoleil).
I’ve emailed a few folks to see if they have anything and will let you know if we can help.
Good luck

ParticipantSo, very excited about our first trip to the Monaco GP last night we saw Grandstand K tickets reduced to £325pp for Sunday and purchased them on a whim. I am now a little worried, we have to collect them from Gootickets & Monte-Carlo Travel,
2 Boulevard Raini, the website was http://www.monaco-grand-prix.com/2542-monaco-f1/ has anybody had any dealings with them? Suddenly panicking as we have only ever used the official F1 site before.22nd May 2014, 23:39 at 11:39 pm #261214Wade
ParticipantGreat day at the track, loved the K Grandstand, a shame about the rain ruining the start of FP2.
Did anyone tune into the track commentary with a personal radio? What is the frequency, I could not find it for some reason???22nd May 2014, 23:43 at 11:43 pm #261215KLCC88
