ParticipantGot tickets in T1 (row o, 1 + 2) for raceday. Bit lower than I was hoping but on the edge so should hopefully get a view of the cars coming through Piscine with views into the pits, unless we are too low, that would be disappointing.
For Saturday selected seats at the back (3 and 4) but probably will be looking to sell these. Main reason for booking the full weekend was the new requirement for this to get the pit lane access on Friday.

InactiveHi all,
If going to Monaco please check out Ed @fugaref1-ed he will certainly look after you and Monaco is their biggest race!
In some of his previous comments he says make sure you get value for your price paid- we booked through Ed in Monaco in 2016 and were more than happy and cant wait to book again. I have been to a few races since and Ed always says if they can beat the price or not but happy to say go with the price we have if he cant add value.
We are half a chance at Monaco again in 18 Ed- will be in touch !! :)

ParticipantThanks Homer, I was absolutley delighted you guys enjoyed it, you’ve been to so many circuits and races I really wanted it to live up to expectation.
A few beers in between the madness in 2018 would be nice :)
Cheers

ParticipantTravel question. Booked accommodation in Menton which has been recommended as a good base. Can anyone advise on if there is a week rail travel ticket that can be purchased or is it simply better to pay for each journey?

ParticipantHey Paul
You can go to the station and buy the journeys you want in advance. Best tondonso rather than try to get tickets on days when there’s track action as those are busiest.
Not sure about aneeek pass but you’ll find out on sncf.fr.

ParticipantHi, I’m still figuering out which grand stand tickets to choose. Because of my budget K1 is too expensive. So low seats it will be for T, N or O. Which low seats have the best view? Or any other suggestions?

ParticipantHi Ellen
Personally I’d take low K over the others. Too low in T and you can’t see into the pits so it’s a bit dull.
If not then O or N.

ParticipantOnly 4 more days till we fly out – lucky to be going to my 4th gp in Monaco and as before have no tickets for qualifying or race day.
Bought tickets through official channels for the first 2 visits but have since learnt to do otherwise.
Will be doing exactly as I did two years ago heading to one of “ticket reps” at the station exit and do a bit of bartering, I did see some poor offerings for the money before deciding where to part with my cash. Usually ones from apartment balconies!
Can recommend the WCO guys as had a great spot at a wine bar with a view of the exit of the pit trackside on raceday, with food and drink included for the day for the same amount as I paid for a official seat at St devote the previous year.
Got to see practice courtesy of one of the restaurants in the Z1 enclosure on the Saturday for 55 euros.
If anyone has any other suggestions for decent deals raceday then feel free to suggest or make recommendations. To all going have a great GP
It is a unique place.
Cheers
