Canamasas might have been a lap down, but that doesn’t excuse Palmer’s lousy driving, and it certainly doesn’t excuse his outburst given his mistake.

I’ve noticed Palmer has been very quick to criticise other drivers in the past, which I find ironic because he’s never been as good as he thinks he is.

@prisoner-monkeys I’m with you on that one. The guys who’ve been more vocal (Palmer, Abt) are the ones having less than perfect seasons. Palmer especially is very much hyped about for his overtaking prowess, but in qualifying he is almost nowhere most of the time. The fact that his only title is the Autumn Trophy of Formula PALMER Audi speaks volumes. Dunno why Will Buxton and the others speak so much about him.

@wsrgo – Abt can be forgiven, as it’s his first season, and he wouldn’t be the first driver to step into GP2 and struggle. But Palmer has been around for a while now, and he’s pretty average himself. He’s better than the likes of Berthon and Binder and de Jong, but he seems to think that makes him as good as the likes of Nasr and Bird and Calado. He’s somewhere at the tail end if the front-runners, convinced that he can and should be at the front, and looking down his nose at those behind him.
