IndyCar’s 2013 schedule hammers on at a breakneck pace: this is their seventh racing weekend out of the last eight.
The teams get the luxury of a three-week break after a double-header on the streets of Toronto which will include the series’ first ever standing start in race one.
Despite flooding in the area recently the races are expected to go ahead:

It looks like a simple “object-on-a-path” animation than any kind of simulator, and not a great animation at that – they probably passed it off to an intern to do it :)
I wish it was a game, though – that’s a really nice version of Toronto. A decent Indycar game is long, long overdue.
12th July 2013, 21:19 at 9:19 pm #238732JackySteegParticipantI don’t know why Indycar do those virtual laps – it can’t be cheap or easy to knock up 15 or 16 of them each year, particularly with all the attention to detail they give to the scenery. Why can’t they just upload an onboard lap from the previous year? At least then we’d get to see a real driver take the real racing lines at racing speed
