It is the second to last round of the IndyCar 2014 season. Last year, the race was a mess with Will Power winning it. Speaking of power, here’s his on-board lap of around this twisty track.

Penske have been strong here historically so that bodes well for Power, although Scott Dixon and Simon Pagenaud could crash the party.22nd August 2014, 15:51 at 3:51 pm #271074the_sigmanParticipant
Just to mention it, in 2012 we had changes to the layout. So Power’s lap, doesn’t exactly show the circuit Indycar’s layout.
And I hope Kanaan gets his second win at Sonoma, he deserves one this year.22nd August 2014, 16:40 at 4:40 pm #271076

@sigman1998 – Correct. New layout looks like this:

Catch him if you can! You’d expect Power to stay ahead of Castroneves based on history at Infenon, but we’ve all said these things before, have we not? Gonna be fun seeing JP from 10 Rows back.24th August 2014, 13:39 at 1:39 pm #271751
Major earthquake (6.0) in the Napa Valley area today, some of the drivers and team members reported their hotel windows were broken. Not sure how this will affect the track schedule.24th August 2014, 14:34 at 2:34 pm #271770
Some infrastructure damage reported, track activity may be cancelled as major roads in the area are inaccessible.24th August 2014, 15:06 at 3:06 pm #271784Euro BrunParticipant
Tweet from Townsend Bell says track ok and everything expected on schedule.
Hope so, really looking forward to it.24th August 2014, 15:13 at 3:13 pm #27178524th August 2014, 15:50 at 3:50 pm #271788Iestyn DaviesParticipant
Power looks well clear, while Newgarden is starting to show his pace. Q always looks odd with the either/or layout for the back rows of the grid.24th August 2014, 15:58 at 3:58 pm #271792
They use the split groups to minimise qualifying interference on-track, but it can disadvantage some drivers if one group is weaker than the other.25th August 2014, 6:35 at 6:35 am #271936
