2017 IndyCar calendar grows to 17 races as Gateway returns

The IndyCar schedule will grow to 17 races next year as the series returns to the 1.25-mile Gateway Motorsports Park oval in Madison, Illinois.
The 2017 calendar will therefore feature six oval races, five street races and and six road course races.
12th March – St Petersburg – street
9th April – Long Beach – street
23rd April – Barber Motorsports Park – road
29th April – Phoenix International Raceway – oval
13th May – Indianapolis Grand Prix – road
28th May – Indianapolis 500 – oval
June 3rd – Detroit race one – street
June 4th – Detroit race two – street
June 10th – Texas Motor Speedway – oval
June 25th – Elkhart Lake, Road America – road
July 9th – Iowa Speedway – oval
July 16th – Toronto – street
July 30th – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course – road
August 20th – Pocono Raceway – oval
August 28th – Gateway Motorsports Park – oval
September 3rd – Watkins Glen International – road
September 17th – Sonoma Raceway – roadDelighted by the addition of Gateway. My girlfriend is from the other side of the Mississippi (i.e. St Louis) so I’m definitely intending on going.
Hoping to get to 3 races next year – starting with Long Beach, Gateway and probably Iowa.
I went to the 2014 races in Milwaukee and Fontana and I can’t overstate how helpful it is to be able to see every car on the track at once.
