I’m not sure if he liked it, or it scared the crap out of him?
“On my second run, after I broke the 200s, I was very rude on the radio because I was so excited. I said it was truly awesome, but not in a good manner.”
Wonder what the wife’s thinking. http://www.indycar.com/en/News/2012/05-May/5-7-Open-Test-at-Texas
I’m here at the test in Texas. From what I can tell he looked pretty good out there. He may have been scared, but he didn’t show it!
I’ll update you guys with more later!
More from Rubens http://espn.go.com/racing/indycar/story/_/id/7900865/formula-one-vet-rubens-barrichello-runs-first-indycar-oval-laps
He ran about 10 mph below last years pole time. Pretty good considering this was his first outing, and they’re are taking it relatively easy not to damage the hardware (or Rubens).
Dixon ran only 3 mph slower than last years pole time. Very surprising considering what was said about the oval package earlier this year. It will be very interesting to see what kind of lap times they run during this years qualifying June 9th in Texas. Maybe a track record? http://www.indycar.com/News/2012/05-May/5-7-Texas-Open-Test-wrapup
