Lorenzo to leave Yamaha for Ducati

    Huge news in Moto GP today – reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo is to leave Yamaha after nine years and three world titles. He will join Ducati in a two-year deal starting next season:


    Collegue and I have been brewing on this since Rossi was confirmed.

    Oh goodness, if Lorenzo were to win on the bike that put Rossi in a slump, almost sent Crutchlow back to WSBK, and effectively ended Nicky Hayden’s top-flight career…


    Yeah some very capable riders have found Ducati to be tough to tame over the years, Casey Stoner aside!

    It’ll be very interesting to see how JL gets on.

    @rjoconnell IT definitely wouldn’t be the same bike (I don’t think the engine would even be of the same capacity).
