ParticipantYeah, apparently it’s hard to know whether Italy or England have been playing worse in the warm ups. But England do at least have some attacking flair now going forwards, if only we could play Lallana, Sterling, Welbeck, Sturridge. Rooney has to be the Suarez alongside Sturridge and Sterling to be in the team IMO, although Welbeck might start with Sterling to come on.

ParticipantItaly drew to Luxembourg…

Participant@juan-pablo-heidfeld-1 – We have a fighting chance!
We need to play the young guns (Barkley, Ox and Sterling), who attack and run at defences, rather than the older guys (Lampard, Rooney and Milner) who just play backwards all the time.

ParticipantIt depends who we’re playing against really, some defences close down fast on runners, others (like ours) keep a stiffer formation, and those guys aren’t really good enough to beat 2-3 defenders. They are much more fun to watch though.
*disclaimer* I am a real armchair expert when it comes to football so feel free to correct me

ParticipantMost Importantly, It’s British GP [Silverstone] VS World-Cup Quarter-Finals if you look at schedule. What would you be watching is something to be thought of…
BTW, I think Argentina will win and if so, then Messi will become greatest ever in history if he leads to it. I’m supporting Argentina.
– If somehow Brazil Vs Spain in round 16 match, then it’s tough one for both of them.
– I think Brazil is overrated for this world cup – will go till semis.
– Germany as usual will have no problem with their route to semis.
– It’s Spain Vs Netherlands again to go till semis. [So the first group match Spain Vs Netherlands
is as important as Quarter-final for both of them]Summary: Final – Arg Vs Germany , Third Place: Brazil [or you can swap Germany with Brazil ]
Fourth place : Very competitive – Netherlands, Spain, Uruguay, …
OverRated: Brazil & Spain [Neither will Win, someone else will]11th June 2014, 20:46 at 8:46 pm #263028Bradley Downton
ParticipantI think we should start up a mini predictions championship of our own here. With the grand prize being…
The knowledge that you’re the best F1 Fanatic at predicting football scores!
Rules are simple, post your predictions for the final score on here before each game (you can do it all in one lump sum if you want but only one round at a time, or you can do it before each game, but if the time shows you posted after the match starts, it won’t count!)
You get 1 point for predicting the correct winner, 2 points for predicting one teams correct score, and 5 points for predicting the correct result completely!
You can also score bonus points by predicting each round of the tournament, but these will only be accepted up until the kick-off time for the Brazil-Croatia game tomorrow, so be quick! Points for this will work as:
1 if you predict the correct team to go through
2 if you predict a team in the correct place in the group stage (going through or not)
4 if you predict a teams points total correctly in the group stage! In case I’ve confused you with ‘each round of the tournemant’ I’ll show you what I mean by showing mine below:
