    I thought that it might be a good idea to have a thread here that is dedicated to the best of the days gone by. From video to photographs to just your own personal favorite recollections. To keep in the spirit of things, lets keep it to everything 2004 and earlier please.

    I will kick things off with this video. Gerhard Berger 1989 at Estoril, the full race on board with no commentary. This video has been posted before on F1F awhile back. I just came across it again on youtube the other day and I just really want to be sure that if anyone hasn’t had a chance to see it yet, this will be the impetus. I am hardcore, but I have not watched the entire race! Have watched a good amount though and it is just spellbinding. Just how smooth Berger was, maybe the biggest revelation for me. Highlights of this video, the whole warm up and start of course (pure v-12 bliss), just after 35:00, Mansell Banzai move, 50:30, pit stop before there was a speed limit, final laps and cool down lap where he takes off his gloves, and then his helmet!

    As I don’t know how to embed, I beg fans to post the mega pass of Hakkinen on Schu with Zonta in the middle. As I have mentioned before, that race is the one that brought me back to F1.
    Needless to say which race, true fans know what I’m talking about!!!!

    I asked to have this thread moved as I realized we can have a lot more fun with this if we don’t stick just to F1. So lets have this be the place to reminisce about any and all series of racing!

    Our Nige. What an amazing thing he did going to the states and winning it all in his first year. It is really beyond anything I think we will ever witness again.
