What makes a good social media account?
Do you like behind-the-scenes insight and interesting information or banter and memes?
Which teams or drivers have the best presences on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram – and why? Do you expect to see different content on different platforms?
And what would you like to see more or less of from RaceFans social media presences?

RaceFans on InstagramI may be alone in this but I hate most of the F1 teams Twitter accounts. I think it was Lotus/Renault that originally had quite a humorous online presence; which worked well. It seems that all the teams have copied that so we’ve now ended up with a buddy-buddy sort of thing and I “cringe” (hate the word!) every time I read one of the Tweets from them.
I know they’re businesses trying to obtain as large a supporter base as possible, but I wish they’d leave the jokes to the joke accounts, like WTF1, who generally do it well.
Maybe I’m just turning into a grumpy old man!
