‘all women want in life is to raise babies’… Exactly where was this suggested? In case you hadn’t noticed, having children is a fairly common thing for humans, especially those around the age of 30, to get up […]

‘politics can stay at the entry gate’, is that a joke? Politics was being shoved in our faces by Putin positioning himself in front of the drivers on the podium. Just imagine David Cameron doing that at […]

@Kgn11 ‘Nearly don’t count’… hmmm, what a strange thing to say. You point out that Vettel and Hamilton have superior statistics to Alonso by way of illustrating their superiority, but fail to point out that, […]

Alonso was easily the class of the field in both 2010 and 2012; coming within a whisker of beating Vettel in a clearly inferior car (probably the 3rd best car). As for all these off track incidents, is it not true […]

Having grown up with these three I am, of course, hugely biased in their favour. It was obviously a stupid thing for Clarkson to do (though some would argue it was excusable what with health scare, divorce etc.) I […]

As much as I would like Chris Evans and the BBC to fail in their attempts to replicate Top Gear without Jeremy, Richard and James and make the show all PC and less edgy, I must admit that Jenson is actually a fantastic idea.

Tom commented on the post, Vettel matches Senna's win tally with 9 fewer starts 7 years, 10 months ago
Wow that’s really interesting. I suspect the closest challengers to Schumacher’s haul must be Vettel and Hamilton, with Alonso fast running out of time. It’s good to see Button up there too as, unlike poles, wins […]

Does anyone know how all the greats would compare if they were adjusted to the current system? How much would Schumacher have – and how far off are Vettel, Hamilton et al?

It surely isn’t that simple. F1 management care nothing for location – if they did then France and Germany would still be around by virtue of being close to the teams’ factories and fans. Turn out also hardly […]

Also, is there anyway we can see the average ‘Rate the Race’ result for each season? I feel that might go some way to answering the ‘which has been the best recent season: 2010 or 2012?’ debate.

You say it would be fine for F1 to be behind a pay wall because a ‘fan’ would not hesitate for ‘proper’ coverage. But this is precisely the point, it is ONLY people who are already fans who will want to pay. How […]

Tom commented on the post, F1 can learn lessons from NASCAR – Hembery 8 years, 1 month ago
Quite a lot of truth in what Hembery was saying there. Hamilton and Alonso are the only mega-stars of F1 at the moment and, while I don’t want all the drivers to have to go to red-carpet events just to boost their […]
