Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Perez keeps Singapore Grand Prix win despite penalty for Safety Car violation 4 months ago
Precisely my point, I just feel they gave the 5 seconds because it wouldn’t matter. If he opened an 11s gap to Leclerc they might have penalized him with 5s per incident.

But how can he get one penalty for two violations?
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Russian drivers banned from competing in Britain by Motorsport UK 11 months ago
This is equivalent to a company firing all Muslim employees because a bunch of extremists hit the WTC, or all Jewish employees because Israel started bombing Gaza, etc. These drivers aren’t part of the “ […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Did F1 race control make correct decision over last-lap restart? 1 year, 1 month ago
I don’t really have a favorite driver/team in this battle. I like both Hamilton and Verstappen and I think both are worthy champions. Having said that, I think that the answer to this question is a big no. I w […]

I’m from Saudi Arabia, and I think its very important for drivers to a) participate in the race and b) voice their opinions openly on subjects that matter! The country is going through a huge transformation phase […]

Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Norris believes stewards let Verstappen force Hamilton wide because run-off wasn't gravel 1 year, 2 months ago
To be perfectly honest, I believe this decision had more to do with drivers’ names and current championship standing, than the kind of run-off area at that specific corner. In an ideal world, the drivers (and t […]

Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Raikkonen: Alfa Romeo knew about front wing problem before Baku 3 years, 9 months ago
@khm I think what he means is that they have a wing that fails easily. It failed in China, replaced, and the new one failed again during Qualifying. They didn’t have time/resources to replace it with a r […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Kvyat and Tost disagree with penalty for "lap one sandwich" 3 years, 9 months ago
In my opinion, this penalty was almost criminal. First, it was a first lap incident. Secondly, all parties played part in the making of it:
1. Lando Norris ran wide in the corner, compromising his line and […]

There is a political conflict between Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt on one side and Qatar on the other side. Bein Sports is the legitimate rights owner of many sports broadcasts in MENA, including F1. Bein is […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Raikkonen blames Bottas but stewards take no action on "speculative" move 5 years, 7 months ago
@thegianthogweed Does it really matter who suffered more? If a footballer tackled another from behind and injured himself, would the referee say hold on he suffered more so no need for the red card?
A penalty […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Hamilton did not brake-test Vettel, FIA rules 5 years, 7 months ago
I am not arguing with the verdict here, but is an explanation such as “..had behaved in exactly the same way in the first Safety Car restart” really acceptable? I expected the explanation to include stuff such as […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, Vettel strikes body blow to Mercedes and Raikkonen in Monaco 5 years, 8 months ago
I don’t think Ferrari deliberately pitted Kimi to give Vettel the win, and I have a strong feeling that Kimi doesn’t feel that this is the case as well. What I think is that Kimi is secondary to them: he wasn’t […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, "Dirty tricks" or fair game? What they said about Hamilton's tactics 6 years, 2 months ago
I have nothing against the tactic itself: different people have different reactions to such situations. Some would think that the honourable thing would be to drive into the distance, “destroy” your opponent and […]
Ahmad Albashrawi commented on the post, FIA rejects Ferrari petition over Vettel penalty 6 years, 2 months ago
Actually I totally agree with Ferrari here, gaining an advantage should never be a time penalty, otherwise quicker cars stuck behind slower cars unable to overtake will just overtake off-track and disappear into […]
