David commented on the post, Haas must aim to "take a big step like Aston Martin" – Magnussen 2 weeks ago
True… but equally I never recall them havimng brought in uphgardes at all this early in teh season. they already have had a new wing and more impressively a new floor.

David commented on the post, Magnussen's experience makes him 'positive' ousted Schumacher can return to F1 6 months ago
And also it was Grosjean (not Magnussen) who told the team in 2019 to go back to the Melbourne spec car when the upgrade package was introduced but didn’t work. Suspect Hulk may be stronger technically than […]

David commented on the post, Hulkenberg seals F1 return by joining Haas for 2023 6 months, 1 week ago
Seemed pretty clear this season that whatever you think of Steiner’s “man management” that MSC had ruffled feathers within the team and that was the main reason aside from the massive car repair bills. Maybe a […]

David commented on the post, Stewards "quite harsh lately" says Gasly as he moves within two points of ban 7 months ago
Or maybe just maybe Alpine might be on the phone this week encouraging him to get another 2 points in Brazil so is serving a ban at Abu Dhabi so free and clear for next season?

David commented on the post, Alonso regains seventh place in US GP as stewards cancel his penalty 7 months ago
Not surprised even though it was 100% the wrong decision. If Haas had been told 1 hour that should have been accepted. That said Haas once again inept – their team manager should know when protests have to be made […]

David commented on the post, Will Piastri's rift with Alpine put his F1 debut on hold again? 9 months, 4 weeks ago
Perez has a contract for 2024 as well as I understand it?

David commented on the post, Magnussen relieved to take fourth after "lucky" gravel trap escape 1 year, 1 month ago
Interesting – think DiResta is decent personally – has grown into the role after an uncertain start. For sure he spots things that Crofty and Brundle would miss and he is direct – I liked Horner’s response to […]

David commented on the post, Wittich simplifies Bahrain track limits rules in first event as F1 race director 1 year, 2 months ago
“Any” rather than “all” is there I believe to cover situations where there is no white line edging the track. Not sure if there are any circuits where there is simply a curb at the track edge, other colours or […]

David commented on the post, Horner defends Perez over Imola race errors after point-less finish 2 years, 1 month ago
Was also disappointed by Perez’s performance but was there an issue with the car as earlier on he said the wheel was moving by itself (and this was acknowledged by the team). He then changed the wheel at his 10 […]

David commented on the post, 2020 F1 driver rankings #7: Sergio Perez 2 years, 4 months ago
Also feel he is rated too low…
Should be rated 11/14 beat team mate in qualifying – strategic decisons not to run in Q2 should not get a win for your team mate but should be excluded – Perez was faster in Q1 […] -
David commented on the post, Stroll felt loss of grip "immediately" after suffering damage while leading 2 years, 6 months ago
Oh come on this gets worse… he and RP should follow the if you are in a hole digging…. maxim. He now says he noticed a change immediately whereas during the race (and immediately after) he professed to having […]

David commented on the post, Did Stroll's Turkish GP performance end the "pay driver" debate? 2 years, 6 months ago
Disagree on the “likeable” bit. To me he comes across as many rich kids do – entitled. When he knocked over the front jack man at the previous race not a hint of an apolgy or concern – just a comment that his […]

David commented on the post, F1 drivers briefed on alternative medical evacuation plan after cancelled sessions 2 years, 7 months ago
More relevantly why is it set as short as 20 minutes given there is already a highly equipped medical team at every venue? Seems an overly short time to me.
In “real life” most people would be incredibly lucky to […] -
David commented on the post, Analysis: Mercedes warned Hamilton not to come into the pits four seconds too late 2 years, 8 months ago
This doesn’t make sense – the pit lane being closed is on page 4 of a message?? The pit lane being closed should be the first thing on the main telemetry screen of every team and teh driver’s steering wheel as […]

David commented on the post, Claire Williams turned down offer to remain at team 2 years, 8 months ago
Have to say I simply don’t believe that the intention was for her to remain as Team principal hence the wording of her statement but am sure it was covered in the Purchase Agreement that that she would be offered […]

David commented on the post, Renault withdraws appeal against Racing Point verdict 2 years, 9 months ago
I also suspect that it is more that their lawyer’s have said we don’t believe you will win the case. So what best to do? Spend a lot of money and risk the embarrassment of losing which will mean costs to RP and […]

David commented on the post, Was the verdict against Racing Point correct? 2 years, 9 months ago
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. I buy front and rear brake ducts legally in 2019. I use the fronts but don’t use the rears as their design is poor and inefficent for my car as it is. Assume I make no changes to any of them […]

David commented on the post, Racing Point to bring upgrade for Italian Grand Prix 2 years, 9 months ago
Please explain then as nobody else has. Why is the fact that they did not use the rears in 2019 relevant? Nowhere have I seen a cogent rationale reason why the stewards thought that was the clincher. As I […]

David commented on the post, Racing Point CEO voted for change to listed parts rule which team broke 2 years, 9 months ago
The trouble with your statement is that every single car woudl be illegal somewhere. All brake ducts on all the 20 cars look pretty similar from the outside which is not a surprise as all 10 teams are trying to do […]

David commented on the post, Claims Mercedes assisted Racing Point's copying are "total nonsense" – Wolff 2 years, 9 months ago
That is a silly comment. in 2019 the ducts were not listed parts and so were used legally and sold by Merc legally. The only issue seems to be that RP did not use the rear BD’s. Why the stewards made that decision […]
