@aesto Due to no medical helicopter and no method of getting a road ambulance to a hospital within 20 minutes… …not only was there no way to have a race, there was no way to have what actually happened either.
BasCB commented on the post, McLaren drivers' run-in at Paul Ricard was "on the limit" – Seidl 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Just wanted to write the same @aesto. It was quite frustrating for Ocon, but Ocon made it a decent result.
@aesto So other (Far better) tire suppliers from the past managed to not need this over-regulation how?
The cars are constantly developing, evolving & improving. That is what the sport is, Always has been & it […]

@aesto Seeing as Joe Saward attended every race last season (one of a handful of journalists to do so) I think he is well qualified to comment and to be annoyed by the stance the FIA/FOM took re the written press.
Red Andy commented on the post, Red Bull believe Verstappen is 'top of Mercedes' list' if Hamilton leaves 8 months ago
Interesting point @aesto. Certainly Albon’s poor performances last season didn’t cost Red Bull any prize money, since they were comfortably second in the WCC and nowhere near Mercedes. But I think Red Bull made […]
F1oSaurus commented on the post, Russell out? Schumacher to Haas? What's behind the 2021 silly season rumours 12 months ago
@aesto Yes we clearly saw that when he drove from P20 to P8 in the last race.
And of course we never saw Perez actually even intentionally ram other cars.
TFLB commented on the post, Russell out? Schumacher to Haas? What's behind the 2021 silly season rumours 12 months ago
@aesto slightly faster in qualifying but not much. 35-24 in their time as teammates which isn’t a demolition by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway points come on Sunday and Perez is the better racer.
Neiana commented on the post, Vettel explains frustration with Ferrari's conflicting radio calls 1 year, 2 months ago
@aesto if only a team such as Ferrari would have the computing power to be able to answer a question about pace within 7 minutes, and then even the correct answer, at that.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but @aesto team personels can’t talk at all to drivers on warm up lap. Only if there is some real problems then they can talk back.

@aesto also, agreed about the illegal Renault auto brake bias control. It was only software which automated something that was banned from being automated. No different than if they had installed automated […]

@aesto Thanks for explaining it that way. Yes, I agree, staying within the rules is one of the reason’s for innovation. It will be interesting to see whether Mercedes take it to Melbourne and whether any teams […]

@aesto Precisely. I couldn’t agree more with you on that. I share the same views as well. Some things are best not to give to the teams to do themselves.
Interesting points @aesto; though not sure I agree entirely, I do think that is quite valid, and to your second point: those cars could then do lots of testing to get everything about car/tyre interaction […]
F1oSaurus commented on the post, Hamilton on Verstappen clash: "Some drivers are smarter" than others 1 year, 11 months ago
@aesto I agree with you mostly, but when you say that Verstappen was guaranteed the pole after Bottas crashed, we have seen Rosberg take pole in situations like that. Everybody backed off and he simply blasted […]
@aesto either you weren’t watching F1 in the 90s or you have forgotten the Williams Renault of that decade. Some called it the “all singing all dancing” Williams Renault because the car was a technological marvel […]
@aesto Sadly, I think there is some truth to this. I started watching F1 in the 2005-2006 period, and hence I look back at that time as being “special” for me personally. Even 2007 is a season I fondly look bac […]
