Exactly this is what I mean. That Nico had already more or less settled in the position. So backing up too much could have put Ferrari in 2nd.
And for a certain logic I had rather see Nico finish second than […]A.D. commented on the post, Hamilton's pace frustrates "compromised" Rosberg 7 years, 9 months ago
@celeste Well we have to see how the season progresses. But I am on the opinion that Kimi might not attack Seb, I might be proved wrong, but I believe Ferrari will hunt in packs.

Generally I was supportive of the Pirelli’s tires. But China 2015 showed that because of tires we did not have close racing, unless you are in mid-field or car is of superior pace.
Also the long straights have a […]A.D. commented on the post, Hamilton's pace frustrates "compromised" Rosberg 7 years, 9 months ago
I believe we are unfair towards Rosberg. Rosberg was in a very unique position. Hamilton could control his pace because he was in clean air. Sebastian could control his pace cause nobody was in a challenging 4th […]

I guess I explained exactly why Rosberg could not attempt to overtake Hamilton, but I answered with the bias of wanting to see Hamilton to win.
Rosberg challenging Hamilton could have given the advantage to […]A.D. commented on the post, Hamilton's pace frustrates "compromised" Rosberg 7 years, 9 months ago
I think Rosberg was in a very unique position. Hamilton could control his pace because he was in clean air. Sebastian could control his pace cause nobody was in a challenging 4th position. Which leaves Rosberg, […]

I am going to quote Marko from the globe piece:
“We always look at input and output,” Marko said last month. “If the cost-benefit calculation isn’t right anymore, it’s not to say that we’ll continue […]A.D. commented on the post, Ecclestone says Mercedes are 'killing F1' as Mateschitz raises Red Bull quit threat 7 years, 10 months ago

All those negative statements by Ferrari and its management let to purge of the top management. Now we see a new Ferrari whose team principal is being all positive and finding new ways to engage the […]A.D. commented on the post, Power unit problem delayed Grosjean in Malaysia 7 years, 10 months ago
I thought the problem was aerodynamics for the Mercedes and not the PU. The car compared to Ferrari is hard on tires.
I have not heard anything about Mercedes PU needing more cooling. Given their engine […]A.D. commented on the post, Manor couldn't run two cars in Malaysia – Fernley 7 years, 10 months ago
Also I think the incoming money as compared to tobacco advertisement days, have significantly reduced. And this loss of revenue have hurt them a lot.
FOM makes profit by milking the venues and getting the […]A.D. commented on the post, Manor couldn't run two cars in Malaysia – Fernley 7 years, 10 months ago
I would say, RBR did not handle the PR with Renault as business partner well. Even when it was winning all, it was always If WIN = RBR responsible, If LOOSE = Renault weak.

In 2008 2009, Ferrari would have been logical choice. They won in 2007, nearly missed 2008. In hindsight RBR went to dominate, but choosing Ferrari was natural thing to do.
Even Vettel chose Ferrari over second […]A.D. commented on the post, Mercedes deal negotiations finished – Hamilton 7 years, 10 months ago

In fact he says Vettel did a tremendous job.
He simply states that nobody expected Ferrari to be this competitive, […]A.D. commented on the post, Mercedes deal negotiations finished – Hamilton 7 years, 10 months ago

All in all, I think Fernando has been the most unluckiest. Dragged Ferrari during its worst period giving Vettel a good fight during RBR domination days, and when Ferrari is competitive, he is out of the picture […]

But Kimi did 3 stops and climbed from 11 to 4th and also nursed puncture. So I do think Ferrari showed some serious pace and it was not only because of tyre.
