Ole Brummer commented on the post, F1 made right call with delayed changes to pit stop rules – Seidl 1 week ago
Would have been interesting to witness the inevitable failure of those pit stop rules.
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Sprint qualifying "a bit strange" and has room for improvement – Binotto 1 week ago
Fair play to Ferrari, the organisational reshuffle appears to be doing them good. I hope they are right in the mix at the sharp end, where they belong, when 2022 kicks off! The sport needs it.
Red Bull are in a very strong position, post-Honda, where powertrain design and development are concerned. It will be a very interesting battle indeed. Could guru Andy Cowell be tempted back to F1 and which […]
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Norris: McLaren a "lot more lively" than when I first joined 1 week ago
Given it is RIC in the sister car, I reckon NOR is the season’s top (overall) performer thus far, a smidge ahead of VER.
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Red Bull claim damage to Verstappen's car from Hamilton crash cost £1.3 million 1 week ago
This is a more rational, less emotionally charged Horner expressing himself. He probably read back his own comments after the Spanish GP. I’m eternally grateful VER is OK, though still a tad worried that we aren’t […]
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Recent spate of penalties could discourage drivers from racing, warns Russell 1 week ago
Masi’s in total control, isn’t he?
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Mercedes encouraged as Silverstone upgrade closes gap to Red Bull 1 week, 1 day ago
Didn’t really, though, did it? Despite Merc’s upgrades and positive step, Red Bull Honda themselves are developing and keeping ahead. Merc had to shave off more downforce than they would have liked, so weren’t as […]
Another win for the wily old fox…
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Why Hamilton "wasn't seen as wholly to blame" for the Verstappen crash 1 week, 2 days ago
Horner has every right to be livid, but Team Principals should be more judicious in the criticism they express. I agree with most of what he said, but he tends to get emotionally carried away in a manner not often […]
HAM knew fairly early he wouldn’t be making the apex and so did VER. Dangerous driving not to pull out in that scenario, particularly when behind. HAM was all kinds of fortunate not to end up in the barriers […]
Timely article. Fortunately, I believe VER will win most of the remaining races and render most of this discussion parenthetical.
It was disappointing to see PER fail to score even more points. The best tyre manager on the grid looked was way below par.
Looking forward to leading the list of records he will have broken after winning his maiden WDC this season!
True HAM colours showing.
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Hamilton "went in too hot" in Verstappen collision – Ricciardo 1 week, 5 days ago
Very level-headed, sober assessment from RIC here. Best I’ve seen thus far.
I still can’t get over how lenient the punishment was!
Ole Brummer commented on the post, "Very aggressive" Verstappen 'didn't leave any space' – Hamilton 1 week, 5 days ago
False. VER left HAM enough space. HAM was not sufficiently alongside to claim the corner and missed the apex to boot thus squeezing VER. Impact being HAM’s left front on VER’s right rear also speaks volumes.
Ole Brummer commented on the post, Hamilton handed two penalty points for Verstappen collision 1 week, 5 days ago
Far too lenient a penalty any way you look at it. Sets a very bad precedent.
Tainted win, plain and simple!
It would be a farce to revert. Besides, this is a way to award points for pole ;-)
That start was visibly poor. He has had better ones just this season, so he should be taking the blame he deserves here. This being a W12 with a raft of updates on it, I reckon HAM just realised VER will continue […]
