Martin commented on the post, Changing Albert Park track to aid passing could spoil it – Bottas 4 years, 10 months ago
Make the pit straight longer to improve the chances of a DRS pass. Eliminate turns 14, 15, and 16. Extend the pit straight backwards to a new turn 14 where it intersects an extended straight between turns 13 and […]

To counter Mercedes’ “party mode”, race director Charlie Whiting has a “party-pooper mode” ;o)

That extra DRS zone didn’t make much difference. No overtaking means cars are evenly matched, which promises good wheel-to-wheel racing.
Gutted for Haas, happy for Alonso, some good battles for top positions. […]
Martin commented on the post, Third DRS zone added to increase overtaking at Albert Park 4 years, 10 months ago
It’s thrilling to see two guys duking it out for the lead, with everyone else being blue-flagged out of the way.
What’s not so great is seeing a bunch of faster cars fighting for position behind a defending […]
Martin commented on the post, Which is the best-looking F1 car of 2018? 4 years, 11 months ago
I voted for Mercedes. It looks mean and purposeful. I think the “pimple-noses” on most of the cars look ridiculous.
It would be fairer if all cars were photographed at the same angle in the same light. Some of […]

That orange colour is dreadful. It looks like something scraped off the pavement.
Given McLaren’s New Zealand heritage, I suggest a tasteful kiwifruit green.

I like 134: The Spanner. But they’re all pretty good.
Martin commented on the post, Old F1 logo was "neither iconic nor memorable" – Brawn 5 years, 2 months ago
The new logo looks like the letter T flopped over onto its side.
If we were in cowboy country it would be called the “lazy T” brand.
What next? Political correctness and 50% of drivers must be female?

It doesn’t suggest motorsport to me. It looks like a corporate logo from one of those anonymous American conglomerates that does who-knows-what but is worth billions of dollars.

I love the “visual gaps” graphic. It’s a lot of information quickly.
How about doing two versions: the one you’ve got; and a second one where you group team mates together so we can see the relative […]
