Bleu commented on the post, FIA's clampdown on drivers' political statements won't be "harsh" – Wolff 2 weeks, 1 day ago
I think that FIA now has some pre-handed info on which way people think. I can see anti-racist message still being allowed. But with the guideline which was there last year: would it have had sanctions if someone […]
Bleu commented on the post, Correa completes Formula 2 comeback mission by securing spot on 2023 grid 1 month, 1 week ago
It’s a feel-good story but for me it looks like Correa isn’t able to reach the level he was before the Spa accident. And I don’t consider him being a top prospect at that point either.

That will make fifth occasion where team-mates hold consecutive numbers since driver numbers were introduced:
9 Ericsson/10 Kobayashi
25 Vergne/26 Kvyat
18 Stroll/19 Massa
3 Ricciardo/4 Norris

Here are three earlier pit lane speedings which occurred during the race this year. None of which have penalty points.
Including all sessions, in total drivers have been caught by speeding in pit lane 27 times […]
Bleu commented on the post, Gasly avoids penalty points again, Verstappen and Norris get two each 2 months, 2 weeks ago
There’s normally no penalty points for speeding in the pit lane so it’s not like stewards made an exception to the norm this time.
Speeding in the pit lane can easily happen due to mechanical fault so I kind of […]
Bleu commented on the post, Hasty tyre blanket ban could make F1 "a worse sport", engineers warn 3 months ago
I feel some similarities in comments as I recall from 2008 when traction control was banned.
I googled and found this article:
Bleu commented on the post, Gasly collects nine penalty points in five months, five others penalised too 3 months, 1 week ago
The penalty point system isn’t working well when considering that Gasly leaving too big gap is as serious breach as the collision caused by Stroll.

Spa 1997. The first ever race to start behind the safety car. Three laps behind it and played into hands of those who started on inters.
Bleu commented on the post, Cranes on track during F1 races "cannot happen anymore", say team bosses 3 months, 3 weeks ago
F1 needs to looks at more effective way to remove cars from the circuit. Monaco has nine cranes around the circuit and cars are traditionally removed very quickly. Apart from that this year I recall seeing cranes […]
Bleu commented on the post, Should the Italian Grand Prix have finished behind the Safety Car? 4 months, 3 weeks ago
If there’s an incident on the penultimate or the last lap, there is no way to resume racing without extending the distance, even if the race is red-flagged immediately.
Apart from few circuits (Melbourne, […]
Bleu commented on the post, Hamilton says F1 should extend races instead of ending them behind the Safety Car 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Fuel makes this problem. I’ve read though years ago how fuel usage behind the safety car should be around half of the usage while going under green flags. If it’s like that, then there could be a rule where each […]

Hamilton’s retirement confirmed that no driver will finish all the races this season.
Bleu commented on the post, 'Tyre marbles from junior series' caused Latifi's spin which put Bottas out 5 months ago
Latifi was a runner-up in F2 while Albon managed only 3rd. But in F1 there’s a big difference between them in Albon’s favour.
Bigger issue that for some pay drivers it’s more difficult to kick them out. But is […]
Bleu commented on the post, Transcript: Why Ferrari told Leclerc 'the hard is worse than expected' but still used it 5 months, 4 weeks ago
Not quite. They alternated selection of which driver goes first. So in Monaco, Bottas elects to go first since it’s safer place to be. Next race is Baku and Hamilton sees he gets advantage from slipstreaming, thus […]

Grosjean’s ban was funny in terms of mentioning his repeated collisions, yet he had not been given any penalty for them earlier.

This was only a second occasion that driver with 300 or more Grands Prix got a podium. The first one was Alonso at Qatar last year.
Bleu commented on the post, De Vries to replace Hamilton in first practice at Paul Ricard 6 months, 2 weeks ago
At the beginning of the season I would have expected most teams using FP1 driver change here. At that point Paul Ricard wasn’t supposed to hold F2 race but the race was added to the calendar after Russian GP was […]

Chris Medland tweeted that Mercedes allowed drivers to choose which FP1 they take off and this was Lewis’s choice.
Bleu commented on the post, Can Ferrari take the heat? And is it au revoir to Ricard? Six French GP talking points 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Looking at Max’s pole lap last year the only place where he got close to track limits was turn 2. So while there are a lot of run-off, the optimum lines don’t seem to be that close to track limits as in some other tracks.
