He means ‘right side of the steering column’, as opposed to modern cars which are set up for left foot braking – where the column now splits the two pedals.

I’m the same way – I can recall practically every lap of Imola, twenty years on, but the only things that come to me about Monaco are Wendlinger’s accident and the start line moment’s silence. Weirdly, I also […]

Came across a video which shows how severe Hinchcliffe’s blow to the head was last week. Ouch.
Ignore the ridiculous talking haircut and skip to 1:29.

Heads up to the US viewers – qualifying is live on CNBC rather than NBCSN Saturday morning due to the Barclays premiership clash. Race will be on NBCSN and the clashing Sunday prem game over on CNBC. :)

I think it’ll take a while for Montoya to get back into it. Allmendinger struggled to re-adapt after a long absence in open-wheelers, I wouldn’t be surprised if JP spends the first few races mid-pack – although I’d love to be wrong.
I’m also not fond of the track – it’s too short, tight and overtaking opportunities are sparse. I don’t wish to…[Read more]

I’ve been singing the praises of Game Stock Car to anyone who cared to listen – and several who didn’t – which is about to get this free update.
The shriek, gentlemen, the shriek.
It might not look half as flash as some of the new games out, but the physics are the mutt’s. A bargain for $US25.

@montreal95 If you take a look at the rest of the ’75 grid, the BT44 WAS the looker.

The person setting up the render has gone a bit overboard with the lens settings on the virtual camera and has caused a ‘fish-eye’ effect. The most noticeable distortion to the object is always at the closest […]

Interesting that you mention Fabre with all of the talk of reliability going on this off-season, Keith. I recall him being introduced, somewhat bemused and blinking, on the BBC by Murray Walker at some point […]

I’ll be looking forward to this series too. I was 16 and this was probably the time at the peak of my interest in F1. The season held so much promise – rules changes that would shake the (stale!) order up, a new […]

Not surprised by this announcement, but very disappointed nonetheless. I wish he’d had the chance of a swansong season.
I started to watch him in F3 when Magnussen Sr. was crushing it, and I got to cheer him […]

Wat?
There’s nothing in Bouiller’s comments to suggest that he’s apologising to Kimi. He’s apologising for the content of the message and how inappropriate it was for OTA transmission. […]
