@toti won the previous round and he set the criteria for this weeks competition. The competition has gone well over the deadline so how about we give @toti 12 hours from now to decide a winner. If he fails to decide a winner by then, as the previous rounds winner I will decide upon a winner (obviously my entry will be excluded. Do we have any…[Read more]

Excellent idea, here’s mine http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6765510.
Kept one of the long forest straights, whilst adding a nice flowing section. created another stadium section at the 2km mark similiar to turn 1 at Monza, and kept the Merecedes Benz stand but given the spectators a much faster pair of corners to view the cars. These faster…[Read more]

Well done to you all, you’ve all butchered some great circuits just as Mr Tilke would be certain to do so well done. The winner this week is @toti so congratulations and its now your turn.

Excellent thanks @toti.
This weekends challenge is a bit of a different one. You are Hermann Tilke and Formula 1 has gone crazy and requests that you do your work on Silverstone, Spa or Suzuka. Just as you have ruined other great racing circuits, you must now do the same to one of these three circuits. Tilke-ify one of Silverstone, Spa or Suzuka…[Read more]

Pitlane would run along the main straight. Circuit is 4.5km and features some very long fast corners, most notably the final showpiece corner which would be tackled at more than 300kph. Basically an enlarged version of the final turn at Tsukuba.

Thanks @PhilEReid I hope I did the wonderful Zandvoort circuit justice.
Last weekend the V8 Supercar Championship visited one of the worlds best race circuits, Philip Island, home to the Australian Moto GP. Philip Island would make an incredible addition to the Formula 1 calendar, certainly an improvement to the stop start Albert Park. Although…[Read more]

Looks like a great layout, certainly one of the faster more flowing Formula E circuits. The crowd noise through the stadium section will be incredible given the quieter engines.

Zandvoort is one of my favourite tracks so it was hard to leave out so many great corners. But I feel my new version of Zandvoort keeps the fast flowing nature of the circuit, plus it creates a couple more overtaking opportunities.

Norwegian Grand Prix Circuit- 6.5km, Clockwise.
A very flowing circuit with many fast corners and big elevation changes on preexisting roads. With only the pit straight needing construction. Circuit has many overtaking opportunities and fantastic scenery of the forest, lake and Oslo. The circuit is very…[Read more]Browny replied to the topic Track designing contest in the forum

Sorry I forgot to mention that, yes the access roads going into stadiums can be widened to make them suitable for Formula 1 cars, basically any method of getting into a stadium which doesn’t involve knocking down grandstands can be used @vmaxmuffin.

Thanks @philereid. With the highlight of last weekends Mexican Grand Prix being the huge crowd roaring everytime Sergio Perez made his way through the Baseball Stadium section of the circuit, and with the V8 Supercars Grand Finale taking place later this month around the Sydney Olympic Stadium it has got thinking if other stadiums around the world…[Read more]

I’m pretty sure this has been done already but I couldn’t find the previous thread. With Formula 1 returning to a circuit it should have returned to years ago I thought it would be interesting to see everyone’s dream 2016 F1 Calendar of International circuits that are currently, or have been recently in use by an International series. Should…[Read more]
