CareyPatrick commented on the post, Should Panthera go it alone or buy an existing F1 team? 1 year, 11 months ago
I think you are correct Deiter, if any new team wants to even survive, it will have to form a cooperative partnership with a manufacturer team. Renault is the obvious choice, and could only benefit both, Renault […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Why the latest motorsport fatality is so hard to comprehend 2 years ago
After watching this a few times, it seems like F1 would could use spotters at some tracks, to warn drivers of a spin that they cantsee. It was a few seconds after Alesi had spun at Eau Rouge that Correa came at […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Vettel pleased to help Leclerc win by holding Hamilton up 2 years ago
While I’m extremely happy for LEC getting his first win(and Ferrari finally getting its first win this season!), I’m still troubled by Ferraris lack of race pace, especially on the Yellows. HAM was almost a sec a […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Sainz piles up the points despite Norris's qualifying edge 2 years, 1 month ago
I think McLaren have done very well for themselves with this driver combo. Neither of them has made any really silly mistakes. They both seem to bring the car home, which is vital. Sainz is aggressive but not […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Poll: Should Bottas or Ocon get the second Mercedes seat? 2 years, 1 month ago
This is just like back in the dominant Schumacher days. Irvine or Barrichello? Massa or Barricihello? It really does not matter. Unless there is another “once in a generation” talent that is going to give old HAM […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Hamilton quickest, no time for Bottas as practice starts 2 years, 1 month ago
Williams definitely seem to have clawed back about 1 sec/lap. Only 1 more and they can compete in the midfield. They were about 4sec off at the beginning, now only 2.5 for RUS and 3.0 for KUB, a definite improvement.
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Vettel: Some races should stay even if they pay nothing 2 years, 1 month ago
You can certainly see his point, and I’ll take it a step further. What if only very rich countries that are willing to subsidize races could have them? Then we would have nothing but Abu Dahbi, Bahrain, Etc. And […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Haas denies rumours Grosjean will be replaced at Hockenheim 2 years, 2 months ago
Alternate Headline: “Wishful Haas fans hoping Grosjean FINALLY sacked by team at Hockenheim”
I count myself as one of those fans. Heck, I was hoping he would get the ax last season after Spain, but NOOOOOO. […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Kubica determined to continue despite tough return 2 years, 2 months ago
While I’m glad Kubica was able to return to F1, the sad reality is that now he is just not quick enough, and can’t adapt to these new cars on Pirelli tires. His rookie teammate is a second a lap quicker almost […]
Apparently no one cares for Catalunia. The teams all test there, so you can see the cars there anyway, so out it goes. I would also ditch Hockenheim, because of what they did to it. I don’t care if produces […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, FIA race director Masi visits Zandvoort to inspect track plans 2 years, 2 months ago
My thoughts exactly. Why rush. They should have started this 3 years ago when they saw how popular Max was. Now, they are trying to rush through a big circuit renovation, which they will probably botch and then […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Vote for your 2019 Canadian Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 2 years, 3 months ago
I did also. He had a great weekend, didn’t hit the wall, beat his teammate, and unlike a certain Ferrari driver, didn’t crack under the pressure.
Not surprised that Germany is getting the ax. They just don’t put fans in the stands like they used to, which is a damn shame. Hockenheim is just a shadow of its former self, but the Nurburgring is a fine GP […]
Another great thing about Montreal is its spot on the calendar, which has always been around the same 2 weeks in June. The weather is just beautiful. Its better now that the race is the week before LeMans, as it […]
Montreal is always packed. From the years I attended(92-06), it was rare that the stands were not full on Fri, Sat and of course Sunday. Taking the Metro to the track, and getting back OUT of the track can be a […]
CareyPatrick commented on the post, Leclerc says he asked to run again before Q1 elimination 2 years, 3 months ago
Screaming at the TV once again did nothing, and Ferrari didn’t send LeClerc out. I’m starting to think my “smart tv” investment was a huge waste of money!
Really though, I can’t believe they messed this up […]
