The only screen in that area is to the right and above the Grandstand so I am not sure how easy it will be for you to see the screen. From the opposite side e.g. K grandstands which are behind St Devote you can see the screen.

As far as I am aware there are no buses etc you need to make your own arrangements so either hire a car or book a car and driver. It is chaotic at the circuit and there are usually a lot of taxis vying for business to transfer back to Dubai but you have to be careful as they are looking to charge a lot to do so. If you are staying in a hotel in Dubai they may be able to sort a car and driver out for you or advise if there are any organised trips that they are aware of.

Monza was my first GP and we bought GA tickets at the ticket office on the day. There were a lot of people doing the same thing. We are going back several years so may be worth contacting the circuit to check they still do that, or they may let you book and collect them on the day if you ask.

You tend to find the area closest to the circuit is booked up so need to stay outside Soa and travel in from surrounding areas if you wa t to stay in a hotel. I think Liege may be slightly cheaper or just over the border but you still have to travel in which is the downside. May be worth looking at a package with Select, Thomas Cook etc who will include your transfers so re over the hassle.

Monza is the cheapest race we have been to for ticket prices followed believe it or not by Abu Dhabi. It is the travel and hotel costs that ramp the prices up so for Monza if you are happy to camp that is a way to keep the costs down. Tickets for Monaco are expensive irrespective of which option you go with and accommodation in Nice increases to reflect the fact people are staying for the GP. Spa is probably overall cheapest as you could drive (although I presume you would need to get the ferry and then drive down to catch the train or ferry) and then camp at the circuit.

General admission in Monaco isn’t great and you have to be there at stupid o clock to get a reasonable view. Have you thought about Monza? Ticket prices aren’t too high and plenty of good viewing points although you do need to get there early to grab the prime spots – you may find you can buy a grandstand ticket within your budget rather than GA. Facilities at the circuit are very basic to say the least but the atmosphere is great with the Tifosi even if you aren’t a Ferrari fan.

    Hi Terry

There is a taxi rank 2 mins walk from the hotel entrance. It us easier to ask the drivers to take you to Ferrari World as they seem to get confused as to where they are going if you ask to go to the circuit.

You can then get the shuttle bus that runs from just up the road from Ferrari World to get you to your grandstand. These are free and go round the circuit road.

Don’t go back to Ferrari World though for the return as all the taxis are diverted to the taxi point which is well signposted. Be patient on return though as it is very busy just after the race and concerts.

There is a bus but we have only ever done this once as we still had to get a taxi to/from the bus stop plus not really clear at the circuit where you catch them from.

Final option, but also expensive, and which the concierge at the hotel can arrange, is a car and driver. The downside is you have to have them for the day (think it is 12 hrs) but means you can come and go as you please.

The email I have from ACM says they go on sale on 21st August which may be why you cannot buy the tickets yet.

Sorry the yacht was on Thursday – never done it race day. Hospitality is good value on Thursday but limited as not everywhere offers it. Yes you can pick up tickets round the station etc but you need to be careful as you may not get what you are expecting!! You should get them to take you to where it is so you can see before you buy – you may get a bargain but I would be wary.

I would recommend you look at the reputable companies if you are going to do it. Ed is usually on the forum at some point so he may touch base with you if he picks up on your queries.

    Hi Paul

Have done Caravelles and a yacht. We were on the roof at Caravelles which was great viewing but the press tended to use it as well so had to work round some big lenses! Also scary trip up – lift so far then you had to walk the rest of the way up.

The hospitality is usually done between several companies but you need to be sure they are genuine outfits. If he is on the forum Ed may be able to give you more info on that but also there are several floors in the building so it depends what floor etc it is for.

Re the yacht it depends what you want. We did not enjoy it but that is because we were there for the racing and visibility on the yacht is very limited – more so if you aren’t tall as everyone hogs the front – I couldn’t see a thing. If you just want to say you have done it then go for it. Personally whilst we have done hospitality on all 3 days I still prefer being in the grandstands for race day when doing hospitality a lot of people aren’t even interested in the race and for Monaco I am sure it is all about the location. We had 1 guy who slept through the whole thing!

    Hi Liz

In all the years we have been going we have never seen a seating plan it is either pot luck or knowing, from past experience, where you want to sit so can call directly to book tickets.

I am not sure if the seating is the same for all grandstands but on the one we go on (South) on the upper level To give you an idea S is the back row

Irrespective unless you are on the front row you should have a fantastic view.

Hi Chris – K1 as high as possible or K2 as high up. They both sell out for the upper levels very quickly

    Hi Ash

Unfortunately not, you can only go in the grandstand you have tickets for although on Thursday you can sit in any seat as opposed to Sat/Sun when they are allocated seats. Unless you have a ticket for the other grandstands there is no access.

Historic is again grandstand only you have tickets for but not allocated seats, also only so many of the grandstands are open for the historic. But again circuit is closed off to general viewing.

I guess for what people are being charged for tickets for F1 they need to make sure you only view if you pay!

    Hi Ash

It depends what you mean by move around? You can go on and off the grandstand you have a ticket for, but if you mean can you gain access to other grandstands, then the answer is no. Also depending where you want to go some areas are not accessible unless it is to get to a grandstand you have a ticket for. Also around the circuit there are barriers to obscure the view so unless you have a ticket, apart from going up to the castle and hoping you can see something, you will be unable to see anything of the circuit.

    Enjoy!

    Caroline
